After I've finished my work, I was going to move on to my next task when I saw a few men dragging a man away.

The man looked almost dead. I couldn't see his face that well due to him looking down and his hair covering his face.

Why are they dragging him away?

I saw Daniel walking behind them, his face serious. I've never seen him like this before. He's usually very cheerful and smiles a lot.

"Daniel wait!"

I almost ran to him and stopped him from walking. His eyebrows raised looked at me in shock. "Yes?" He asked.

"Why are they dragging him away?" I asked as I pointed at them.

He looked at them and then back at me. I could see the fear evident in his eyes.

Suddenly, I saw footsteps coming from behind. Both of us turned our heads to see Guanlin walking with his usual hard look on his face.

Daniel stopped him as he whispered something in Guanlin's ear that made his expression changed immediately.

Guanlin whispered back and Daniel gave a sharp nod before grabbing my wrist and pulling me towards the corner.

"What do you think you're in this job for?" He asked with anger.

My eyes widened at the way he's asking
me. What happened to him all of a sudden?

"Answer me!" He raised his voice which made me flinch.

I took in a deep breath. "To get...money?" My voice made it sound more like a question. 

"If you're here to get money, shouldn't you be doing your work instead?"

Oh...

He's got a point. Why am I being so stupid?

"I'm sorry." I apologized.

"Focus on your work and mind your own fucking business." He finished as he walked away from me.

I stayed frozen, my eyes still wide in shock from what just happened.

I've never seen him angry before and this is my first time. He looks really scary.

I shouldn't have asked him though. Why did I even asked him? I'm so nosy...

I can't do anything but to blame myself. So stupid...

It was in the evening and as usual, they were assigning us to the places we should clean. But the weird thing is, they assigned me to clean the room toilets upstairs.

It sounds really disgusting to me but then at the same time, I don't think I have a choice. It's a part of my job anyway.

I took a basket of toilet cleaning materials and carried it upstairs. Once I climbed upstairs, I was going to walk to one of the rooms when I saw someone who made my heart stutter.
