Chapter 28: Swimming

TORI'S POV

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I looked at the screen: Chaz.

Y aren't u at school?

Oh crap. I looked at the time. 8:00. I overslept!

I ran out of my room and into the hallway. I also ran into Justin on the way. "Whoa! What's the rush?" he asked.

"I overslept, Justin! That's the rush!"

"Go into the kitchen. Mom has something to tell you."

"Okay..." I answered uneasily. This couldn't be good.

"Hey Tori," Pattie said happily as I walked in.

"Hi," I said as more of a question than a statement. "Justin said that you had something to tell me."

"Yes I do. Because of what's happening at school, Jenny is going to tutor you. She's already tutoring Justin, so it shouldn't be too much trouble. But you get to start on Monday. Today's Thursday so you can just have fun these extra two days off of school."

"Okay. The first thing I am going to do on my extended weekend is...go back to bed."

She let out a small laugh. "Okay hun. And tell Justin that Jenny will be here in an hour."

I gave her a thumbs up as I walked to my bedroom to tell her that I would.

Justin's door was open, so I knocked on the open door and walked in. "Justin," I said.

I saw him lift up his pillow and put a notebook under it, but I didn't know what was in it. "Yeah?" he replied.

"You need to get ready because Jenny will be here in an hour."

"Uh," he groaned. "What about you?"

"I don't have to start until Monday," I bragged.

"That's not fair!"

"Life isn't fair Justin." Then I walked into my bedroom, hopped into my bed, and fell asleep.

I woke up around noon. My phone buzzed five seconds after I opened my eyes. It was Chaz again. R u okay?

I forgot to text him back! Oops.

I replied by saying I'm okay. Justin's tutor, Jenny, is gonna start tutoring me. I also don't start until Monday.

Chaz: Thank goodness you're okay! I thought some crazed paps kidnapped u or something like that!

Tori: Over exaggerating much?

Chaz: Maybe a bit. I need to go. Have 2 get 2 class.

Tori: Okay. Bye.

Chaz: Bye ❤️

I smiled at the heart he put in his text. Just then Justin walked in, snapping me out of my lovey mood. "I'm watching you on Saturday," he told me.

"Okay. Why?" I asked.

"Mom has a meeting with Scooter."

"Ah. Okay."

"We're going to do something fun."

"As in we, you mean Ryan, Christian, Chaz, Caitlin, you, and I, right?"

"Yup."

When Pattie, Justin, and I sat down for dinner on Friday night, I figured out what we going to do the next day.

"You're going to learn how to swim tomorrow," Justin said while pointing to me.
