JUSTIN'S POV
I sped out of Chaz's driveway and down the road to Burger King to pick up some food for Tori. Now that I think of it, she has been looking weak these past few days.
I slipped my shades and a SnapBack on to avoid getting recognized. Even though I'm going through the drive thru, I still made the choice to put those on because you can never be too careful when it comes to paparazzi.
That's when a thought came to my mind: Did the media know about Tori's accident?
I mentally cursed myself for not thinking straight these past few hours. The hospital's probably swamped with fans and media! I've just been too caught up in what happened to realize it! I just really hope there's no beliebers or fans because- as much as I would love to sign autographs, take pictures, and talk to every single on of them- my sister's in the hospital, and that will always come first.
By this time, I had made it up to the place where they take your order. I ordered Tori a Whopper with no tomato- she hated them unless it was in tomato basil soup or ketchup-, a large order of French fries, and a Coke.
Once I paid and got the food, I spotted a Wendy's across the street. Why not get Tori a chocolate Frosty, right?
I ordered a large chocolate Frosty for Tori and a two bacon cheeseburgers, one for me and one for my mom. Then, I drove back to the hospital, praying that there wasn't a lot of paparazzi.
I pulled into a parking spot, surprised that were zero fans/beliebers and zero paparazzi. This isn't normal, but I'll gladly take it with open arms.
I walked to the Urgent Care unit where Tori's room was. When I saw my mom, I handed her the bacon cheeseburger and walked to room B14, where Tori was at the moment.
When I opened the door, I saw a girl who looked faintly familiar. I couldn't remember where I'd seen her before, but she was talking to Tori, as if they hadn't seen each other in a very long time. That's when it clicked. Katie. The girl who exposed mine and Caitlin's relationship to the world, standing right in front of me.
I cleared my throat. "Hey Justin," Tori said weakly as she heard me.
Upon spotting me, Katie said, "I'll let you two have time to talk." Then, she quickly excused herself from the plain hospital room.
I clenched my jaw. "What's she doing here?" I spat at Tori.
"Ryan and his family adopted her. And before you get all mad and start yelling, think for a moment. Has Caitlin gotten any hate, any at all? Wouldn't you have told the media by now anyways?"
I thought for a second. Caitlin hasn't gotten any hate and I would've had to make our relationship public sooner or later. "I guess you're right," I told her, defeated.
"Here's some food," I said after a pause. I handed her the Burger King bag and set the Frosty and Coke on the small table beside her bed.
After she didn't open the bag, I gave her a puzzled look. "You didn't have to," she stated.
"Of course I had to get you food. You've barely eaten in three days, you need food to survive."
"No," she paused. "I mean you didn't have to do the blood transfusion. I would've died if you hadn't given it to me and that's what I wanted."
My shoulders slumped and my heart broke as she said the last part of her sentence. I crouched down so that I'd be eye level with her sitting figure. "Listen," I began. I pointed to her heart. "That's beating, and that means that you're living and have a purpose for living okay? Don't let some stupid guy get in the way of your life. You're so much better than that low life scum."
