JUSTIN'S POV
After taking my beanie back from Tori, Kenny, Mike, Rodney, and I walked back to the studio. I've had some lyrics and songs written down for awhile and I was just itching to be able to record them.
"I have a few lines of lyrics for this one song, but I don't have a title for it. Like there's I can take you places you ain't never been before. Baby take a chance or you'll never ever know. I got money in my hands that I'd really like to blow. Swag, swag, on you chillin' by the fire while we eatin' fondue. I don't know about me but I know about you. So say hello to falsetto in three, two, swag."
"What's with all the swag?" Mike asked with a confused look.
"I honestly have no idea, I just threw it in there. I thought, instead of saying yeah, I could say swag," I said with a shrug.
"I also have I can be a gentleman anything you want."
"Then there's the lyrics that I wrote at my little brother's birthday party when we were watching Toy Story. I can be your Buzz Lightyear fly across the globe. Imma make you shine bright like you're layin' in the snow. Brrr."
"I want this all in the song, but I don't even know where to start so that I can get it finished."
"Let's start with what you want the song to portray," Rodney began. "When people hear this song, what do you want them to think about?"
"I don't know. I guess I want them to think about," I paused. This is kind of hard, I was just messing around, free styling when I wrote this. I didn't think about what I wanted this song to mean. Then, an idea hit me. "I guess I kind of wrote it when about I was on tour, all I could think about was Caitlin. And how, if she was mine, she'd be mine forever and how I'd prove that to her."
"You're whipped, man," Mike said.
"Shut up," I said jokingly.
"What else would you do for Caitlin?" Mike asked me.
"I don't ever want to fight with her," I said. "And she knows that. I told her, if I was your boyfriend, I'd love you until the world ends."
"I think I just got some lyrics out of you," Rodney said.
"What? How?" I asked. I said some stuff about my girlfriend and now he thinks he's got lyrics, he's good but not that good!
"Tell me what you think of this: I don't ever wanna fight yeah you already know."
"That's good, but where would it fit in the song?" I started going through rhymes in my head. Fight, might, height. Know, throw, slow, snow. Snow! That's it! "I could put it before Imma make you shine bright you're layin' in the snow because know and snow rhyme," I suggested.
"Now you're thinking like a songwriter," Mike complimented. "You said the words if I was your boyfriend, and I think that should go at the beginning of the song."
"Like this? If I was your boyfriend, I can take you places you ain't never been before." Wait a second. That just doesn't sound right. "I need something before I can take you places you ain't never been before."
"Didn't you write the song Never Let You Go for Caitlin?" Kenny asked. I nodded. "Would you ever let Caitlin go?" I shook my head while giving him a confused look, wondering what he was getting at. "I think you just got your answer."
"What are you--" Then, I put the pieces of the puzzle together. If I was your boyfriend, I'd never let you go.
"If I was your boyfriend, I'd never let you go. I can take you places you ain't never been before. Baby take a chance or you'll never ever know. I got money in my hands that I'd really like to blow. Swag, swag, on you, chillin' by the fire while we eatin' foundue. I don't know about me but I know about you. So say hello to falsetto in three, two, swag," I rapped.
