Who Can You Trust?

Akoni wakes up hearing the sound of the door knob rattling. She grabs her pillow and blanket rushing to the bathroom locking the door.

She lays her things down before falling back to sleep. She put a deadbolt on the bathroom door so she has no worries when she's in here.

Jasmine comes through the window looking for Akoni.

"Bathroom"

She grabs her key unlocking it. Akoni is passed out so she just lays next to her.

When they wake up in the morning there backs are sore. Jasmine Rush's her out the bathroom so she can wash. The real reason is she doesn't want Akoni to see her marks from Cash. They got into badly because he wants her to join his team. She never told Akoni but Cash sells girls,he's a pimp. Jasmine is fine with it because she's his main girl. He treats her special. She knew what she was getting her self into. Her thoughts are to use him until she gets enough money for her and Akoni to leave. He even asked if Akoni would join the team. Jasmine put a stop to his questions right then and there.

She dresses in a long sleeve with jeggings. It's supposed to be a cool day so no questions will be asked.

Akoni looks at her odd when she comes out but doesn't ask anything.

There day goes by smoothly. Miss Sally doesn't bother them for any reason, so they are happy  Jasmine decided to stay home for the night. Cash is blowing up her phone but she can't be bothered to answer it.

Akoni and her stayed up watching movies and eating junk food.

They were getting ready the next morning. They had choirs to do today. There caseworkers would be there tomorrow morning to talk to them.

"What happened to your back?"

"Akoni don't, I'm alright. I fell not paying attention"

"And a fucking foot just happened to try to help you up?"

"I'm not doing this with you right now. I can take care of myself"

"Fine"

Akoni walks out to start cleaning the kitchen. Miss Sally is there smoking a cigarette.

"Listen here, that girl is going to do what she wants. When she's tired of getting her ass beat she'll leave him alone. Until then she will pick him before you. You better get on the money wagon to"

Akoni continues scrubbing the floor like she doesn't hear the lady. Miss Sally shrugs her shoulders. She gets up dumping her coffee on the ground. She looks Akoni up and down before smiling.

"You missed a spot"

As she walks out the room. Akoni rolls her eyes.

"18 please hurry up"
