Who Can You Trust?

After a month they release Akoni from the hospital. She doesn't call anyone when they do. She takes her keys leaving out her room.

"I NEED A DOCTOR NOW!"

Akoni had to look twice when she seen it was Justin. She rushes to him he has blood all over him. Bruise cover his face and shirt less torso. He looks up in pain, but when he sees her he smiles.

"There's my good luck charm, I've missed you. You never come back to the cliff"

"We're losing him, he had two gun shot wounds to the stomach"

He grabs her hand kissing it before he passes out.

"Emergency surgery NOW!"

She doesn't even realize she's crying until she feels wetness on her hand. The boy that brought him here just looks at her.

"Are you ok?"

"Yea"

"Things will get better"

Her face is still bruised up so she thinks that must be what he is talking about.

A light skin girl comes rushing in. The boy rolls his eyes when she starts screaming at the nurses dramatically. She turns around looking Akoni up and down then to the boy.

She struts over to him.

"Where is he?"

"In surgery"

"I told him he needs to be more careful"

"No what you should be telling him is get out the fucking drug game. But oh my bad you wouldn't get the money he gives you every month"

"You what fuck you pussy ass nigga. I don't even know why he is still friends with your worthless ass"

"Bitch you got the right one"

The girl gets in his face he looks like he wants to hit her so bad. Akoni is in the middle of them. She fake coughs to bring back there attention to there surroundings. The girl looks at her confused.

"Um who are you?"

"A friend of Justin"

"Mhm well I'm his girlfriend, I'll tell him you stopped by"

Akoni rolls her eyes before walking off.

"What's the eye roll for hunty"

She looks over her shoulder not bothering to turn around completely.

"He could do so much better"

She walks out the door before the girl can respond back.

"I don't have time for her shit"

Akoni drives to her school going to the front office. They tell her she has to go to all her classrooms to get her work.

"Can I withdraw myself from school and do online classes?"

The front desk lady sighs to get self. She looks over the bruises before speaking again.

"Your not supposed to until you are 18. But I will let you have a month of online classes but you have to come back for your last month"

"Yes mam, thank you"

She knocks on her first block teachers door.  She had already went to her other ones so this is her last stop.

"Hello Akoni, what can I do for you"

"I need the work I missed and another month worth of assignments for this coming month. I will rejoin you the part month of school"
