Who Can You Trust?

Today is finally the day I get to him, even if it is in court. I can make sure he is ok.

I get dressed in a white bottom down dress shirt with a black pencil skirt and black heels. I put my hair in a bun leaving stands here and there out.

Young knocks on the door asking if I'm ready.

We all get in the car but Shay, she's not feeling good today. We went to the doctor yesterday. But the doctor says she's not pregnant. She must have a stomach virus.

We pull up to the court house. It's busy out here this morning.

"You go ahead in while I find parking"

"Ok"

I get out the car fixing my skirt.

"Please Lord be with him today"

I walk to the window a police officer it's sitting at.

"Yeah"

"Um can you tell me what room Justin Santos will be in"

He types a few things in to his computer

"He already went to court"

"Can't be it"

I show him the paper

"I'm sorry Miss but they must have rescheduled his court. They sentenced him to two years. He's already on a bus out of here"

"Thank you"

I walk out just as Younging is walking in.

"Come on"

We get in the car riding off

"What happened?"

"They told me he already had court he had two years Young. What the hell am I suppose to do?"

"Have patience babygirl"

"Can you go by the old house so I can make sure he doesn't have any more unfound safes"

"Yeah"

Pulling up to the house there's two men that look like detectives are at the door.

"You stay in the car Young, just in case"

"Ok give some sign if you feel they not who they say they are"

I step out walking to the front door

"Can I help you two"

"Yes are you Akoni?"

"Who wants to know"

He chuckles

"I would on a personal but I guess for now I will on a business"

I just keep my eyes on him  I don't trust him if kill him I'll have every police officer on me in no time. I'll play along for now

"Down to business, can we come in?"

I'm happy they think this is my address. That means they really don't know where we are located. I want to keep it that way.

"I rather not, we can have this conversation on the porch"

"Ok have it your way. Have you seen or heard or seen  a Justin Santos?"

"Um you do know he's in jail. They shipped him out this morning, giving him two years"

They look at eachother with confusion written all across there faces.

"Justin has been missing. He is on no type of police file in our systems. A caller called in the third day he went missing"

"Who?"

"We're not able to tell you that type of information"

"I just left the court house. They just told me his information. There's no way he is missing"

"The mind plays tricks on you someone's. Our mind doesn't want to accept dinner things. Here's my card, if you hear anything please don't hesitate to contact me"

"Will do"

I watch them get in there car and leave. I make my way in the house. I assume Young is staying to see if they are coming back. I go in his room looking around. Going through the dresser. This seems to be the only dresser they didn't fuck up. There's a paper Lodge in a crack in the draw. Unfolding the paper. All it says is baby girl bed"

"What the hell does that mean?"

I lift the mattress tossing it to the side. I cut a hole down the middle but there's nothing I do the same to the box spring

"This since bull shit"

When I walk to the front of the bed there's a slight level difference when I move.

Moving everything out the way. There's a smaller room under it, lifting it up. There's a safe under it. I press my name with the numbers making it pop up.

The same thing is in this one like at his trap house. I grab bags throwing the things into. It fills two bags.

I lock up the get in the car after I put the bags in the trunk.

"What did they want"

"They said Justin is missing"

"What? There's no way"

"That's what I said but they had all the paper work"

"What the man, today shit is pissing me off now. Let's go check on Shay. She's not answering the phone. Got me worried"

"Nigga what you waiting for? Pretty that gas"

He pulls off fast as hell

"Gang Gang"

My baby mama better be ok. If not there's going to be done issues. Believe that.
