"We're over." Were the only words you managed to understand out of the whole sentence he had spoken. You couldn't blame him though, who would really want to try and keep a relationship up when one of you is on the other end of the country? But then again, you didn't want it to be over what so ever.

"Don't cry Y/N." Zach whispered, his heart clenching. He brought a finger up to your face to wipe away the tears, but you swatted his hand away.

"I gave up my life to come to California, I gave up my everyday lifestyle for you." You mumbled. Of course it wasn't going to be easy.

"I know you did Y/N." He was being short, he didn't know what to say.

"I dropped my school life, my friends, my studying. I dropped everything for you Zach, and now you're saying that we can't go a couple of months? Why can't I just come on your with you?" You asked him.

"You just can't. It's to much pressure Y/N, you don't understand." He scratched the back of his head.

"Then make me understand, make me understand why you think this is the best option for us?" You were pushing it and you knew it.

"Because it is Y/N! Because it is." He shouted, making you gulp. His anger had startled you, but you knew he had finalised the disagreement.

"You know what? Just forget about me." You mumbled, throwing all of your things into a spare suitcase. He looked at you with wide eyes as you packed like a crazy lady.

"How am I supposed to forget about you Y/N? We've been together for two years." He sighed.

"Exactly! You're throwing away two years for a three month tour. It's nothing we haven't done before. So, do us both a favour and forget about me. Forget about our relationship, the times we spent together, the memories. Everything." You slammed your suitcase up and did the zip up.

"It's not easy for me to you know?" Zach declared just as you were about to walk out of the bedroom door.

"Well you don't seem to bothered by that one Herron." You snapped. He knew you were angry with him whenever you referred to him as 'Herron.'

"I'm trying to do what's best." He closed his eyes.

"Have fun telling Reese that she won't ever see Y/N again because her big brother couldn't deal with her." Reese loved you so much, and looked up to you so you knew it was a sensitive topic to bring up.

"You will see her again." Zach's head shot up, but you were already gone and out of the door. He didn't know whether to feel heartbroken or like a complete and utter idiot.
