"Ashley what are you doing?" Corbyn practically shouted. The church went silent and all eyes fell on her.
"You know full well Y/N should be next to you. You've been in love with each other since high school." She cried out. Everyone gasped. Corbyn's averted his attention to you.
"I'm sorry but with a disagreement, we can't allow the marriage to proceed." The priest announced. Christina screeched.
"Y/N?" Corbyn's voice cracked.
"I cannot do this." You muttered, picking up the ends of your dress and running down the aisle. You were in heels so it was painful but you made it halfway down the street, and decided to sit on a bench.
"Why did she do that?" You started crying, all of the emotions leaving you.
"I was scared." A familiar voice said behind you.
"I was scared that this would happen and it did." Corbyn sat beside you. You didn't look at him.
"Y/N, we never admitted it and when I found Christina, my problems were gone. I didn't think I'd have to try and fight for you anymore. I was wrong. I did the complete opposite of what I should have done." He admitted.
"I should've never proposed, I knew you were falling for me and I can only guess I broke your heart." You nodded.
"You guessed right." You wiped the underneath of your eyes.
"I'll admit, I'm kinda glad Ashley said something." Your eyes furrowed in confusion, and for what felt like the first time in forever, you looked him dead in the eye.
"You don't mean that. You wouldn't have made it to the chapel if you didn't really love her." You told him and he shook his head.
"That's where you're wrong. My head was telling me different to my heart. I'm so sorry." He apologised.
"So am I." Another voice said behind the two of you. When you turned around, you saw Christina.
"I knew deep down you two had some sort of chemistry and a definite future. I don't know why I got my hopes up. But thank-you. I hope whatever you two decide to do, it all plans out." She sadly smiled before walking away.
"Why do we always get ourselves into these situations?" You asked Corbyn, making him laugh slightly.
"Now we really do need to plan out what happens next." Corbyn said.
"First, you need to go back to the church and explain everything to everyone. Second, we can go to a bar and get black-out drunk because I don't want to remember this day." You admitted and with that, you did.
