Liana lay in bed in her cabin later that evening completely and utterly distressed at the turn of recent events.

It was ludicrous that she was feeling so upset over someone she hardly knew but she couldn't help it.

From the moment she had laid eyes on him – and he on her for the that matter – she had felt drawn to Antonio in a way that she literally couldn't explain.

Just one look had trapped her and for the life of her she didn't know how to get out.

The man was rude, anti-social, completely dismissive of others; everything she wasn't but there was still...something. Of course, he was gorgeous but it was more than looks even though she didn't understand what that more was.

Maybe it was the pain in his eyes, she thought to her.

There was something in her that reached out and wanted to care for him in some way and just be there for him.

Don't be silly Liana

She tried to convince herself that she hadn't seen anything, she was just trying to find a reason for her attraction to him to make sense; but what an attraction it was.

Their encounter outside her bedroom door was something else altogether; just thinking about sent a sensuous shiver down her body, making her wrap herself tighter into her blanket. As she did so, her door knocked and with a roll of her eyes, Liana got out of bed to answer.

She was barefoot of course in a black silk nightdress that stopped just above her knees, with tiny lace detailing on the bottom. She reached for the matching dressing gown and tied it around her small frame; her hair remained the messy crown of dark curls she'd inherited from her mother.

When she finally opened the door, she was surprised to see David standing there and greeted him with a sleepy smile,

"David, hi...what's going on, what time is it?"

"Oh," he looked surprised to see her although he'd knocked on her door. "I thought you'd be asleep." Liana smiled,

"Then why knock?"

"Because I hoped you wouldn't be," the blush that rose in his cheeks made her understand what he meant.

"Oh," was all she could think to say.

"Maybe I could come in and...?"

Liana had to choke down her astonishment; not because of anything he'd done but just because the idea was so inconceivable to her. David was very goodlooking, but their time spent together on the yacht was purely circumstantial. She had spent time with him because Saima was with Asahd and Julian with Emilia; she hadn't wanted him to feel left out.

"I'm flattered David but, I don't think that's going to happen." She said quietly, looking up at him just as the devastation came into his face.

"I see,"

"I'm sorry," she tried to soften the blow of rejection but she could tell that his embarrassment had already set in and he looked at her rather meanly,

"Sure, me too."

David walked away down a small corridor to where the boys rooms were and she heard the distinct slam of his door. Feeling bad, Liana sighed and closed her own door to head back to bed.

No sooner had she climbed into bed then there was another knock. Rolling her eyes again, she got up to get it,

"David I told yo...Antonio!"

Antonio stood in her doorway, in a black robe and his arms crossed looking down at her,

"Were you expecting someone else?"

"I wasn't expecting you. What are you doing here?" she said with clear annoyance.

"The same reason David was here I imagine," he said moving to lean against her narrow doorframe which brought him closer to her. She didn't bother to question how he knew about David visiting her,

"Is spying on people your favourite pastime?" she asked sarcastically and for the first time, Antonio smiled.

She'd always thought it was a cliché when someone said a person's face lit up when they smiled but in Antonio's case, it was all true. He looked so much younger when he smiled, and even more gorgeous.

"Not people Liana...just you."

Antonio leant up from the doorframe and stepped into her room, making her step backwards to allow him entry. Antonio kicked the door shut behind him and without losing his stride, continued to walk her back to her bed.

When the backs of her knees touched her bed, Liana stopped and continued to look up into his eyes. Without losing eye contact, Antonio reached down and untied the belt on her robe and gently peeled the robe away from her shoulders once it was loose.

It fell to the floor as he slowly peeled one of her thin straps away from her shoulder and lowered his head to kiss her smooth skin.

He planted soft kisses on her shoulder as he moved along it until his lips reached her neck and the tiny space behind her ear.

"Tell me why...please," Liana breathed out as she tilted her head back for him to kiss along her throat and around to the other side of her neck.

He peeled the second strap away so her nightdress was just being held up by her breasts.

"I have to," he said gently as he lowered his lips just before pulling on her dress, allowing it to fall away from her breasts, exposing them to him.
