"What the hell are you doing here?!"

"You know exactly why."

Antonio looked down his nose at the petite young woman in front of him and had to reel in his excitement at doing so.

He'd thought of her none stop during his flight from New York and even though he'd seen her mere hours ago in the grand scheme of things; he realised he had missed her face.

Not the angry face she was serving him right now but her face none the less.

Liana stepped out of the front door onto the porch, wrapped in a cotton robe; her hair in a ponytail and Homer Simpson themed slippers on her feet.

"Go away right now!"

"Not until we talk!"

"Emilia is home!"

Shit!

Her flatmate being around was a bit of an inconvenience. He'd completely forgotten she lived with anyone, what if Emilia had opened the door!

"We need to talk Liana,"

"No, we don't!"

"You give me an ultimatum like that then ignore my calls!" Liana looked at him like he was insane.

"You're married."

"I am."

"You bastard," she said it so painfully, in the most sadistic way he knew there was hope for him winning her around.

If she was this hurt, that had to mean she cared for him as he was painfully beginning to realise that he cared for her, despite the insanity of it.

"Let me explain...please."

"Li who is it?"

They heard emilia call from inside the house and Liana pushed him away from the door,

"Please Liana, I'll be waiting in my car across the street."

"Leave. Now!" Liana pushed him again and stepped back into the house to slam the door in his face.

With a heavy sigh, Antonio stepped away from the porch and went to sit in his car.

He was sitting with his head on the tilted headrest for an hour and forty five minutes before his phone vibrated with a text from Liana:

You cant stay there all night

Watch me.

Her reply was almost immediate,

I am watching you

Antonio turned his head slightly to look out the window and into the house where true to her word; Liana was watching him. He replied,

Ten minutes

Please

He watched as she looked at her phone and for the longest time; she continued to stare at it. When his phone finally went off it said,

Give me five mins

Thank you

----

Stupid, stupid, stupid silly little girl!

Liana scolded herself every second it took to make herself presentable and make her way out to Antonio's car.

It was now the early evening and when curiosity had got the better of her and she'd checked if her was outside almost two hours after she'd shut the door in his face; she felt guilty.
