"Liana?"
Antonio's shock was palpable as he looked Liana Vargas in the face - her beautiful face he didn't fail to notice.
She was dressed very casually, her long curls let loose around her face and down her back while she wore a cropped top and sweat pants and socks on her feet. Her taut stomach was deliciously on show; her smooth tanned skin looking irresistible.
"What are yo..."
"Ah, Antonio. I see you've met my daughter. Come in, come in!"
Leonardo Vargas appeared behind Liana with a genuine smile on his face as he reached out to shake Antonio's hand.
Stunned into silence, Antonio shook Leo's hand robotically as he stepped into the house.
Leo stepped back and put his arm around his daughter and said,
"Liana, this is Antonio Sabbatini; he's the head legal counsel for our Aldovian deal. Antonio this is my youngest daughter Liana."
"Nice to meet you," Liana said quietly, not giving him eye contact. Antonio nodded,
"Likewise," he reached out his hand and timidly, she did the same.
He hated that he loved the feel of her skin against his so much but as he let go of her hand, he cleared his throat.
"Liana is only here for the night until she flies up to school."
Liana nodded, still not looking at him.
"That's wonderful...what school do you go to?"
Liana looked her blue eyes up at him and it unnerved him.
Something in them told him she didn't appreciate this little game he'd suddenly decided to play; not one little bit.
"Harvard," she said coldly. "I'm studying Business and Economics with a minor in Japanese."
"Beauty and brains," Leo said proudly as he kissed his daughter's temple lovingly.
Antonio had to recompose himself because he hated that he wasn't able to show his pride in her because he wasn't meant to know her! He shouldn't be this upset, Leo was her father, he could praise and kiss her if he wanted.
It was just that Antonio wanted to kiss her in a very different way...
"I'll leave you men folk to your business. Let me know when you're ready to eat okay Daddy." Liana went on her tip toes to kiss her father's cheek,
"I will, Antonio do you want anything?"
Your daughter spread out beneath me like a sacrificial virgin
Antonio cleared his throat, "Just some water will be fine, thank you."
"I'll get it," Liana said as she turned away from them and Leo led him into the house.
Leo took him into what was clearly his office, decorated in the same dark woods and greens that one would expect from a man of his stature.
Expensive though used leather was all over the place along with various photos of Leo's wife and children.
As his eyes scanned them, Antonio felt his stomach contract at all that was wrong with him being here.
He had wanted to go over the last few issues with the Aldovian deal with Leo face to face, namely because he wanted to get it out of the way and he'd have no reason to deal with Liana's father again.
