Liana sat with her parents and sister in a beautiful sunroom in the Aldovian palace eating breakfast.
She had arrived at the palace just in time to meet her parents the night before and they had all been formally introduced to princess and soon to be queen Alessandra Du Mont.
Although she had of course met Lexi already, and so had a sort of friendship with her that Luisa didn't have, it was interesting seeing Lexi in her own environment. To watch people, bow to her and address her so formally was a different kind of experience.
"Where's Andro?" she asked as she laid her napkin over her lap while a servant poured her some orange juice. "Thank you," she said with a smile.
"Luisa said he went to get Lexi, he'll be here shortly." her mother said. "How are things with you Liana, we didn't get to speak much last night."
Liana finished sipping her juice,
"Yeah, I was tired after the trip," she was tired because she'd wanted to spend every last minute she could with Antonio before they had to pretend they didn't know each other.
"We were all tired Liana," Luisa chimed in. "We managed to stay up and entertain."
"Not all of us are unemotional robots," Liana said picking up a bagel to throw at her sister who was sat across from her next to their father.
"Liana!" Leia scolded,
"Papa!" Luisa whined making Liana giggle,
"Girls," Leo said continuing to read his paper. "Behave." Even as he said it, Leo raised his eyes and winked at Liana from across the table.
Liana burst into a fit of giggles as Luisa's face screwed up and she angrily began to cut open and butter the bagel that Liana had just thrown at her.
Leo reached out then, still without looking up and brought Luisa's head towards him to kiss her temple lovingly. Instantly, Luisa calmed down and small smile etched at the corner of her mouth. Leo squeezed her in a one armed hugged, then removed his hand and turned to his paper. They sat eating and talking for a while until the door opened and Leandro finally entered with Lexi by his side. Liana had to admit that they made a lovely couple and that despite the circumstances of them coming together; it was wonderful that they had.
They all rose from their chairs to bow/curtsey at her but Lexi, embarrassed, told them to sit immediately as breakfast continued to be served.
"Sorry if I go on at my children Lexi but I feel like they haven't all been in the same room for years." Leia said as she looked at each of them in turn.
"Don't exaggerate Mama," Luisa said rolling her eyes before spooning cereal into her mouth.
"I'm not exaggerating, when was the last time?" Luisa shrugged,
"I've been busy, how would I know."
"You're always busy," Leandro said drily. "You'd think you'd burn up by now the amount of fire that's underneath you."
"Bite me,"
"You need a love to do that little sister!"
"I am sitting here," Leo said turning the page of his newspaper and everyone laughed including Lexi even though she tried to hide it.
