Antonio arrived at his parent's house two days later with Olivia by his side.

They had dinner with his parents whenever possible as Olivia's were no longer around and it allowed everyone to catch up with the rest of the family.

On this particular occasion both his brothers were at the house with their wives and children. His eldest brother Silvio with his wife Angelique and son Maximo and Claudio with his wife Isabelle and their son Frederico.

Antonio's mother Seraphina, was actually his father Gregorio's third wife and as such was not the mother of his two older brothers who both had different mothers.

He shook hands with his brothers and hugged his nephews before kissing his sisters-in-law. All the adults then made their way into the drawing room while the kids went off to play before dinner was ready.

"How are things Olivia, are you doing well?" Silvio asked good naturedly but Olivia simply nodded. Silvio turned to Antonio with an almost apologetic smile and turned back to his wife who was just finishing up a phone call with an angry look on her face.

"Everything okay sweetheart?"

"Papa is trying to ruin my life again!" Silvio laughed and looked over at Antonio,

"My wife, ever the drama queen. What's Pierre done now Angel," he said softly before turning fully towards her.

Antonio smiled to himself before taking hold of Olivia's chair and wheeling it out of the room and into another next door.

"What's wrong?"

"I don't know, you tell me." Antonio said sharply.

"I don't know what you're talking about,"

"My brother made conversation with you and you practically ignored him. You wanted to come here; we're here and you're still making an issue!"

"I'm not,"

"Then start behaving like you want to be here!"

"Don't talk to me like I'm a child Antonio!"

"Then stop acting like one Olivia!"

"Is everything okay in here?"

They both looked up to see Antonio's mother at the slightly open door, looking in concerned. Antonio sighed,

"Everything is fine Mama,"

"Good, erm...Olivia may I speak with my son a moment?"

"Of course," Olivia said quietly before wheeling herself out of the room.

Seraphina Sabbatini closed the door behind her daughter in law and turned to look at her son,

"Antonio I could hear you all the way out there!" she hissed at him,

"Then maybe you shouldn't have been listening." She looked at him disapprovingly,

"I did not have to listen to realise that something is going on with you two."

"Nothing is going on Mama,"

"Which is exactly what's going on!"

Antonio didn't say anything to that and just looked away from her.

Seraphina walked up to him and placed her hand gently on his face, turning it to her

"Why do you do this to yourself Antonio?"

"Do what?"

"Stay married to her!" his mother hissed. "She does not make you happy, be happy. Find love, have babies, live..."

"Mama how can you ask me that? I made promises to Olivia..."

"You have kept your end of the bargain; must you give your life up because hers is over!"

"Mama that's cruel!"

"It is the truth Antonio!" Antonio turned to leave, he didn't need to hear this but his mother wouldn't be deterred. She grabbed a hold of his arm,

"Antonio listen to me, I love Olivia; truly I do but I do not like what she has done to you."

"Mama she had an accident, she didn't do anything to me!"

"Her fall was an accident but her attitude isn't. She chooses to make your life hell and I don't want that for you!"

Antonio was silenced because he knew his mother was right, Olivia made life harder than it really had to be. They could have been happier these last years but she had made an issue out of everything. It had drained him, it made him stay away from home and most recently it had made him sleep with another woman...a woman he now knew he loved.

"Mama...I appreciate your concern but Olivia is my wife and that's the way its going to stay. I made promises, vows to her and I intend to honour them."

Seraphina sighed heavily and shook her head,

"You are a good man. You don't deserve to be so unhappy, Olivia would understand."

"Mama, I'm done talking about this. Excuse me,"

without giving her the chance to say anything else, Antonio left the room and went back to join the rest of his family.

-----

Later that evening, Antonio and Olivia were in bed.

Dinner had been lovely but as it got later and his brothers had gone home; Antonio had bid everyone goodnight and left to get Olivia settled in.

He lay across from her now, his back to her; tired but unable to go to sleep because all he could think about was Liana.

It had only been a few days but Antonio missed her terribly.

Not that she had ever been so easily excessible but the fact that she wasn't even on the end of his phone anymore was a lot to take in.

He understood how his proposition sounded to her but it was all he good give to her and he had hoped that would be enough. She had stolen his heart the minute he'd laid eyes on her with her beauty, charm and wit. She challenged him; she was easy to talk to and of course; the sex was phenomenal.

More than that, Antonio wanted to know her more and be with her and that meant a lot to him. He wanted to give her the status she so craved but he wasn't in the position to do so.

At that moment, he hated Olivia.

He hated her for standing in the way of his having Liana and as he thought it; he hated himself for being so selfish.

His mother was right, he didn't deserve to be so unhappy but Olivia didn't ask to get hurt and he couldn't abandon her because of it.

"Antonio?"

"What?"

"I'd like to start again."

Antonio stilled before sitting up, turning on the side lamp and turning to look at his wife,

"What?"

"I heard what your mother said and she's right...my attitude...I've been wrong and I, I want to start again."

"What does that mean Liv?"

Olivia turned her eyes to look at him then looked away,

"It means...if you're willing... I would like us to try and be a family."

"A family?"

"Can we have a baby...please?"
