Antonio woke up the next morning and after his usual workout routine and breakfast alone, he made his way into the office.
He'd called his assistant the evening before and asked Tina to keep his schedule clear and that he would get to what he needed when he felt like it.
Despite working in the legal profession; Antonio was lucky to be able to work on his own terms. He hardly ever needed to be in court and when he did; it was usually over pretty quickly considering his expertise.
As such, he was free until the dinner with his parents at the end of the week and a sudden thought came to mind.
Don't be ridiculous.
Even as the thought came into his head, the idea began to take root and before long; he couldn't think of anything else.
Antonio immediately went onto his computer to do a quick search and before he knew it; his mind was made up.
He picked up his phone next and after a dial and a few rings; it picked up;
"Asahd?"
"Antonio; where the hell have you been man? You just disappeared!"
"I had some things to do at home,"
"Olivia?" Antonio sighed. While his friends knew about Olivia, Asahd was the only one who had ever met her. Asahd had been his best man although he was two years younger than him.
"Yes...she needed me."
"I see, well you didn't miss much we left soon after you did."
"We?"
Antonio's interest was immediately piqued. Here was the opening he needed without exposing his intentions,
"Yeah, the same day you disappeared; Liana and David left too without saying much to anyone. Emilia and Saima went to check up on her."
"Check up?"
"Yeah, they went back to school so Julian and I came back to London." Antonio's mind was racing as he nodded,
"Well that destroys my plans then. I wanted to see if you were still on the yacht as I planned to come back."
"We could arrange...."
"No, no," Antonio quickly interjected. "Not to worry, we can organise something another time. Talk soon, bye."
Asahd said his goodbyes before hanging up and Antonio redialled,
"Yes sir?"
"Get me on a flight to Connecticut as soon as possible."
----
Antonio sat in his rental outside an apartment complex in Connecticut waiting to catch a glimpse of Liana.
It was a miracle to have found her at all but there was ultimately nothing money couldn't buy. Fortunately, there were only three women named Liana on the Harvard Business School registry and only one was in their senior year.
Considering the age of Asahd's fiancé, it wasn't difficult to determine that that would be her.
She was registered as living off campus and so here he was outside of her apartment building waiting to see her.
This was ridiculous and thoroughly insane if not highly illegal.
It was one thing to have seen her in a restaurant then bumped into her on a yacht but to have purposefully sought her out; was a step too far.
You've come this far haven't you?
He immediately thought of Olivia and how he was betraying her trust. Before Liana she had no reason to doubt what he got up to and now he no longer had that leg to stand on. He was a cheater and was sitting outside a young woman's apartment hoping to cheat again.
He knew it was wrong; he knew he was a disgusting man for having done what he did and what he thoroughly intended to do again but he could not help it.
Liana was beautiful and intelligent and sexy. She was the excitement missing from his life and he needed another taste of it.
Olivia had pushed him just that little bit too far and he couldn't continue to hurt anymore, simply for doing the right thing.
As he mulled these thoughts over in his mind, movement caught the corner of his eye and suddenly; there she was.
She was in leopard print pumps and dark skinny jeans with a black loose blouse over it. She wore a short leather black jacket with a leopard print scarf wrapped loosely around her neck and her hair up in a messy bun. She was currently walking away from her car; a Mini with some shopping bags as she walked up to the building.
Its now or never...
Antonio thought to himself and stepped out the car to meet her.
