"Say, principal-san.. is Gakushū-kun single?"
His eyes widened momentarily before they darkened - almost amazingly and he glowered down at you menacingly. A possessive look came over Gakuhō-sensei and you couldn't help giggling to yourself when the entire class was quiet. No one breathed, no one moved either and it was the empowerment from that one second as you faced off against him, that fuelled you to ask such a dangerous and ill-natured question.
You didn't mind though, it was fun - oh, so much fun, and your principal's face was just hilarious, everything you wanted but it wasn't surprising that you wanted more. He could see that, too. His chest rose and sunk with the deep, angry breaths that came from his nose but he didn't have anything to retaliate with. Perhaps it just didn't register with him that you would ever dare to stoop to that level. Perhaps he believed it wasn't possible for you or maybe he forgot he had someone worthy of your manipulation and violence because the boy who had to have been sitting in his class right now, like a good boy, was someone related to him by blood.
Gakushū Asano was his son and his pride, he strived to make him better for his ideal school but the principal didn't ever think he could be tainted by you and judging by the medical and behavioural records written under your name, he was a little; a little, scared. No, not scared, really. But he was possibly nervous.
Worried, apprehensive and absolutely enraged by your hidden desires behind a single question that was only that; a question.
He had to have faith though. He knew his son wouldn't be swayed by a pathetic girl like you, one who used brute force and unintelligible insults but when he looked up to admire the glares he got from your classmates, it was surprising. Almost intoxicating and a look that wasn't all that favoured by the elder male - the superior male, one who just adored the look of defeat on his students faces. It wasn't what he got though, especially from the red-haired boy who appeared to be practically shaking in rage in his seat.
"This is stupid."
"It's necessary."
"Yeah, to your self-esteem."
Your mother didn't say anything after her quick reply, you were momentarily filled with pride before the door swung open beside you. A lady came through with a thin folder in her hands when she looked down and then looked back up, reading the name as if she didn't know it beforehand.
Her eyes fell on you, "(L/N), (Y/N)?"
She saw you rolling your eyes and you mother nudged you, standing up before you shook your head, looking at her dubiously, "Uh~m, where do you think you're going?"
"Do you want me to wait outside?"
She paused and looked down at you condescendingly yet she was still strict, relieved to be out of work for the day and yet still in her perfect attire almost as if she was ready to go back. The thought made your chest sink but you answered her quickly, standing as your feet moved towards the door where the doctor was watching, still waiting,
"What gave it away? My tone or my sassy use of words?" She was disappointed, "You're free to go back to work now."
"Uh actually," the doctor looked at the two of you with a reassuring smile, futile and weird-looking, "You don't have to come in now but I'll need the parent or guardian present for further discussion."
Smiling, you clapped your hands to draw attention to yourself, the receptionist looked at you as well, "I don't want to be here, you can talk to my mum though." The doctor looked as if she was at a loss, "(Y/N)-san, I'm Tsubumo Akari, you... can come in now."
