Kal looked around, seeing it was nowhere she had been, or at least nowhere she remembered.

"Hmmmm... Which way do I go?" She tapped her chin as people of the bustling city ran around her.

She walked around before seeing a sign with a penguin on it like the one on her shirt. "Yeah!" She grinned and ran to it.

"Whoever makes me can hear me, but nobody else can. What am I?"

"That's fun." Kal sighed. "Whoever makes me can hear me. But no one else can... What can I make that I hear?"

She started pacing, thinking really hard.

"Only I can hear..." She mumbled. She thought with her mouth open spewing out nearly everything she said.

"Come on Kal. Thin... Thought! It's a thought!"

The door swung open.

"YUSS!" She jumped through the doorframe, hitting her head on the top. "OW!"

She rubbed her forehead as a massive bump grew on it.

She looked around for her next riddle, wanting to get out of that floor that was making her head spin.

She looked around before seeing writing on a wall from chalk.

"I might be far from the point, but I'm not a mistake. In fact, I fix yours. What am I?"

"No point so it would be a numb.... Oh this one is easy! It's an... It's an.... Nevermind, I'm stumped..." She plopped onto the floor.

"I am never going to leave this place... "

She grabbed an item and chucked it at the wall in anger and sadness.

She curled up in a small ball, and buried her face in her knees. "I'm sorry bro..."

She coughed, feeling chalk dust in the air. She looked at what she chucked.

It was a chalkboard eraser, the white powdery dust having gone flying when hit the wall.

She picked it up. "I may be far from the point.... But I am not a mistake.... In fact, I fix yours..." She read the writing on the wall.

" An eraser." She realized, and erased the writing on the wall, opening a new passageway.

She sighed relieved and dropped it, running in. She hoped it would be the final riddle but there was one more.

The final riddle was above a small trap door leading to water.

"Die without me, never thank me. Always watching, never speaking. Always lurking, never seen. What am I?"

She looked at the water and gently splashed her hand in it.

"Die without me, never thank me. So something inanimate. Always watching, never speaking. So has to be something still. Always lurking, never seen...What is always there that I cannot see.... Air!"

Kal took a deep breath and dived into the water.

Dustin looked around in the pitch black darkness. "Hello?" He shouted. He brushed his hair from his eyes and brought out his scythe.

A strange light appeared as he blinked, and a small fairy-like creature fluttered in front of him.

"Oh hello there." He held out his finger and it landed on it.

The wings fluttered, before it took off. He saw it land on a sign, barely visible from the light it emitted.

He walked over to read it.

"Thousands of ears I have side by side, yet there's not a thing I can hear. What am I?"

"Ears... Ears... Ears that cannot hear....Hmm... What has ears but cannot hear..." He sat on the ground deep in thought. "Let alone thousands..."

He stayed there, deep in thought, for what felt like hours.

"Corn... Ears of corn! So thousands would be a cornfield!"

The pitch black scene around him changed to a cornfield, as the fairy and sign faded.

Dustin held the Ironwood tighter in his hands, as he dark knuckles turned white. He kept having a really malicious feeling in his gut.

The second riddle appeared as the sun was setting.

"Light brings me to life, but darkness kills me. What am I?"

He looked at the setting sun. The darkness killed it, but light brings it to life. There was little time for him to figure out what as the sun was setting.

He looked around his scene.

"Light brings me to life, but darkness kills me. Light brings me to life, but darkness kills me. Light brings me to life, but darkness kills me. Light brings me to life, but darkness kills me." He muttered repeatedly, before seeing the shadows of the corn stalks, then his himself.

"Light brings me to life, but darkness kills me. Shadows."

The light of the sun vanished as the darkness engulfed him again.

He looked around, seeing the light spread as he saw a skull and soon a skeleton, holding the final sign with the final riddle as it laid on the floor, having been there for who knows how long. "What begins, but has no end, yet ends all that begins?" Dustin gulped, looking at the dusty white bones.

"Death."

Mercy walked through a forest towards a village. "Why do I always manage to get stuck in some forest?" She sighed, and looked at a fork in the road with her first riddle.

"Walk on the living, they don't even mumble. But walk on the dead, they mutter and grumble. What are they?" She looked at the two paths. One was sunny and clear, the other was dark and covered in foliage.

"Leaves it is." She walked down that way. The dried out leaves from the deciduous trees above crunched underfoot as she walked down the path calmly and with ease, climbing over the fallen trunks of some trees that rotted away to logs.

Mercy looked around after hearing the faint sound of thunder and saw a flash of lightning. She groaned. "Great..."

A sign appeared.

"A cloud was my mother, the wind is my father, my son is the cool stream, and my daughter is the fruit of the land. A rainbow is my bed, the earth my final resting place, what am I?"

"Rain." She grabbed a branch and shielded herself from the rain, and hurried to the village she had seen.

When she reached it, she saw a sign.

"It dances and skips, it's read in the eyes but it cheats with the hips. If it meets its match it's easily caught, but it's worth nothing if it is bought. What is it?"

She looked around, as her mind tried to figure out what it was before it was caught in her throat as tears welled up and she gulped.

"The answer is: The heart."
