Chapter 31

*Athena's Point of View*

When I woke up, Nathan's arm was still around me. I looked down and saw I was wearing his shirt which was a little big on me. I slightly remember putting his shirt on because I forgot to bring clothes to sleep in, I know, I'm a genius. I stared up at Nathan who was still fast asleep. I brought my hand up to touch his lips with my fingers. They gently skimmed over his black lip ring that felt cold to the touch. I remember kissing him last night, how normal it felt. I examined his eyes, there were bags under them, indicating that he hasn't slept in a while. I did notice them yesterday, how his eyes seemed so red and exhausted.

After a few minutes of my hands making their way around his body, Nathan woke up. "Morning, Princess," he greeted me before stretching his arms out. The arm that was wrapped around me tightened its hold on me. I closed my eyes again, wanting to stay in the position that I was in.

"Good morning, Sunshine," I replied, wrapping my arms around his torso. I didn't want to leave his warm bed ever. When I moved my hand, I felt it come in contact with skin. I look down at his body and saw that he was shirtless, only wearing his boxers. Dean didn't even sleep like this, he always wore a decent pair of short or pants to bed. I wasn't complaining though. I could tell that Nathan works out, not extremely too that it was unhealthy. It was evident that there was an outline of muscles on his abs as well as his arms which I never noticed. I crawled off of him to go to his connected bathroom, wanting to wash my face. Whenever I wake up, there's a sour taste in my mouth that I couldn't stand.

I turned on the faucet and splashed the cold water on my face to wake me up, it felt so refreshing. As I was patting my face dry with a small towel, I felt Nathan's arms wrap around my waist. He brought his lips up to my neck, letting his hot breath hit my bare skin. "I like you in my clothes." His hand went under my shirt, grazing my stomach with his fingertips. A rush of nervousness ran through my veins, I didn't know where this was going to go. I set the towel down on the white counter, looking into the mirror to see Nathan in the reflection. I felt my hands shaking with anxiety as his fingers drew circles on my hips. A smirk played on his lips as they traveled down to my neck slowly. They began leaving little pecks on my skin, making certain areas cold to the metal's touch.

Nathan stopped his actions and hugged me from behind, sneaking his head into the crook of my neck. My heartbeat slowed down from the fast beat that it was going before, the beat was still irregular. "Let me make you breakfast," I offered. He looked up into the mirror to look at me.

"As long as you don't burn anything again," he referenced to the few times I burned his food. When we were first friends I would make him something and forget about it, allowing the food to turn into ashes. I laughed quietly and nodded my head. He removed his arms from my waist, allowing me to make my exit and go downstairs to the kitchen. I pulled out all of the ingredients I needed in order to make pancakes which were Nathan's favorites. The packet that held the pancake powder was on the highest shelf in the kitchen, not permitting me to reach it. I jumped slightly, trying to knock it down but I was unsuccessful. "I got it," Nathan assured me before reaching up and grabbing it without any issues. He was slightly taller than me but it made a difference.

"Thank you," I replied after he handed me the box.

"What the fuck is going on here?" I turned around to see Ivan standing in the doorway with Grayson. I was surprised that neither one of us heard the front door open or even their footsteps. I stood there, clutching the pancake box as I waited for Ivan's next response. "Athena, go put some clothes on." My brother growled at me, making me look down at my outfit. I then realized that I wasn't wearing any pants, only Nathan's shirt with underwear. I felt my cheeks heat up of embarrassment. "Go," he pointed upstairs. I set the box down before following my brother's orders to put pants on.
