Chapter 10
*Nathan's Point of View*
It's been two days since we brought Athena to the hospital. She was pronounced dead for a few seconds, thank god they were able to bring her back. Ever since then, she has been in a coma. I haven't left the room that she's sleeping in.
Jason hasn't shown up. Ivan won't tell me what's going on with him, he is quite angry with him at the moment. All of her brothers have been taking turns on who gets to stay here or go home to get cleaned up. They didn't want to leave her by herself just in case something happened. I refuse to leave her side, she needs to know that I will always be around. Unlike her boyfriend. Ivan was here so was Roman but he was asleep.
I didn't know if I would want to lie to Athena about Jason. She would be heartbroken if I told her that her boyfriend wasn't around when she died. And yet, it would show his true colors to everyone. Jason doesn't deserve Athena, I highly doubt he feels the way I do. The more I'm around her, the more the feelings for her grow. It wasn't just a sexual attraction, there was something about her that always kept me wanting more.
The fact that her own brother admitted to me that Jason isn't right just proves my point. Athena's happiness is the only thing that matters to me even if I'm hurt in the end.
I want Athena to be happy with me if that's even possible.

*Athena's Point of View*
My brain was on but I couldn't move anything. My ears were able to listen to the other's conversation but I wasn't able to respond or open my eyes. Everything was black, just the way I liked it.
"Jason refuses to come to the hospital. I told him what happened like the fight and her being pronounced dead for a little while, he still won't come. He says he can't see her like this. I don't know what I'm gonna tell Athena when she sees that he isn't here." I heard Ivan explaining to someone. He let out a large sigh and is probably rubbing his temples like he always does.
"Tell her the truth, don't lie to her about something like this. If he doesn't care about her and isn't willing to be with her in a time of need, she needs to know." I heard Nathan state. I wish I could smile right now, Nathan was here. I felt something grab my hand from where it laid on the bed. It felt like someone was holding my hand. "She doesn't need to waste her time with him if he's not worthy."
Ivan was most likely running his fingers through his hair in frustration, I know my brother too well. "I'm glad she has you, Nathan. I know you aren't like the rest of them."
I pulled all of my strength together to move my hand but I couldn't. I pushed myself to open my eyes, they opened a little. I was able to see the room in front of me, it was so bland it made me ill. There was no color, pure white as if I was in a mental asylum. I kept pushing my body to move even though I was completely exhausted from trying. I was able to open my eyes completely and move my head. "Hi," I mumbled. Both Ivan and Nathan snapped their heads toward me.
"Hey, you are awake. Do you need anything?" Nathan asked. He was the one holding my hand. His fingers rubbed circles around my delicate hand that laid in his. It felt nice to be touched by him, it felt quite normal.
"No, I'm fine." When Ivan was about to say something, his phone rang and he walked out to the hallway to answer it. I turned to Nathan, giving him my full attention, "thank you for being here, Nathan. I'm sorry you had to find out about my condition this way, I don't really like people to know about it." I slowly pulled my hand away from the boy to twiddle with my fingers, I was anxious. He probably wouldn't want to be around anymore, just like Jason because of my health.
