Chapter 19

Naramdaman kong ibinaba ako ni Zky sa damuhan. Ito yung open field na pinuntahan din namin kanina.

Tahimik dito at kaunti ang tao di tulad sa court kung nasaan kami kanina.

"Why did you bring me here?" I asked breaking the silence between us.

"I told you, we will talk." He said looking intently at me.

"Your girlfriend will get mad at you. Does she knows what you're doing?" I said bitterness can taste in my tongue

"Sinong nagsabi sayong may girlfriend ako?" He said iritation filled his voice.

"Bakit wala ba?" Naiinis na tanong ko sakanya pabalik.

"Bakit sinagot mo na ba ako?" Aniya na nakapagpatigil saglit sa mundo ko. Ako? Sasagutin sya?

Natahimik ako bigla at nagiwas ng tingin sa kanya.

"So now you're speechless huh!" I saw him smirked.

"Bakit kita sasagutin? Nanliligaw ka ba?" Matapang ko syang tiningnan at huli na ng maisip kong mali pala ang nai-tanong ko. God!

"Bakit pwede ba?" Tanong nya ulit pabalik sa akin. He is staring into my eyes trying to read the emotion I have in there.

Nagiwas ako ng tingin. Hindi nakasagot sa tanong nya.

"Oh! I made you speechless two times now." Aniya nakatitig parin sa muka ko.

"Bakit ka ba ganiyan kasi!" Hindi ko napigilan ang sarili at napalakas ng kaunti ang boses ko.

"Bakit ako ano Rafi? What did I do?" He asked still trying to maintain calmness in him.

"Bakit ka ganiyan!? You always made me feel that I am special yet I know I'm not the only one. May babe kana diba?!" I shouted and glared at him after.

"What do you mean?"

"Ano naging si Justin Bieber ka bigla? Bwisit ka. Kung kaya ko lang tumayo umalis na ako. Nakakainis." Naiinis na sagot ko sakanya. Nadagdagan ang asar ko ng marinig ang mahinang pagtawa nya.

"Anong nakakatawa?!"

He restrained himself from laughing and return his serious face.

"Seriously I thought we're okay Rafi. You know, we are really okay ng bigla bigla ka nalang umiwas sakin, di mo nirereplyan ang mga text ko kahit na sa personal di mo ko pinapansin. Why? Why suddenly ignore me? Dahil ba kay Cloud?"

Napa-awang ang labi ko sa sinabi nya. At paano napasok dito si Cloud?

"Sa tingin mo, why did I suddenly avoid you?" I looked at him in the eyes.

"I have no idea Rafi. Kaya nga kita tinatanong diba?"

Hindi ko alam kung totoong hindi nya alam or nagmamaang maangan lang sya.

"Farah. She might get jealous. She might get mad at you. Lumayo ako kasi I feel like I am a hindrance between the two of you. I don't want you two to fight because of me that's why I kept my distance abd you keep on ruining it too by always bugging my inbox and going near me for no apparent reason." I stared at his eyes as I explained myself.

"Really? Damn it. All this time it is all because of Farah." He said while shaking his head.

"Yeah so I gotta go now Zky. You better explain yourself to her about you carrying me. Sigurado akong kalat na iyon kaya baka mabalitaan nya na." I said and tried to stand after.

"Where do you think you're going baby? You're not getting away with me." He said and pulled me closer to her as he saw me trying to stand up.

Bumagsak ako sa balikat niya. And he didn't let me go. Hawak nya lang ako at isinandal na pirmi sa balikat nya.

He made our fingers intertwined. He stared at our fingers locked with each other for a second.

Tiningnan ko sya at nakitang maganda ang ngiti nya habang nakatitig sa kamay naming magkahawak. Bigla nalang niya itong nilapit sa labi nya at hinalikan ang likod ng kamay ko.

"Listen very carefully Serafina Faith Castillo Dela Vega."

Naputol ang dapat sasabihin nya ng naramdaman ang pagkagulat ko. He glanced at me confuse by my sudden movement.

"You know my real full name?" I asked him amused and wondering how did he knew it.

"Yeah I did some research." He answered chuckling.

"Research? Me?" I pointed myself.

"Yeah and Julia is my main source." He said then winked at me.

"Are you close?"

"Yeah, a bit but not that close." He answered.

"How did you became close?" I asked still wondering.

"Facebook chat. She's always online and she keeps answering my questions about you. Pero konti lang din naman ang sinabi nya because she said I should ask it to you myself." He explained.

I nod at him, giving him signal to go on in what he is about to say. Maybe that is why Julia does not seem bothered by Farah and Zky too because they sometimes talk tru chat. I smiled. My bestfriend is really something huh!

"Are you listening to me?" He asked as he pinched my right cheek.

"I'm sorry may sinabi ka na?" Sabi ko. Wala naman akong narinig ah.

"Wala pa pero you're obviously not paying attention." He said slightly acting that he's pissed.

I didn't speak and waited for him to continue what he was saying.

"First of all, gusto ko munang magpakilala formally. Do you remember nung una? You were so snob and you ignored my handshake! Ang sungit. By the way hi Serafina Faith I am Allistair Zky Rivera Muller a half filipino, half french boy." I stopped him.

"You have a very nice name. And you're half french huh!" I said and he smiles at me.

"So do you Serafina Faith and you're also half blooded Italian right?"

"Yeah. Dad's side."

He nods and continue explaining.

"I want you to keep this in mind. I and Farah are not together nor dating. I don't care if she gets jealous or gets mad. You are not a hindrance to us. Hindi ko pinipigalan ang sarili ko dahil hindi ko naman talaga sya gusto. And yes ayokong masaktan ka. I want to take care of you. And the last thing that I want now is you avoiding me so can we please forget about Farah? Because in case you didn't know and notice, I like you, I really do."

My hearth feels like pounding out of my chest sa sobrang lakas nito dahil sa huling sinabi ni Zky. Hearing those words from him awakened the sleeping butterflies in my stomach too.

Nanatili akong tahimik, nagaabang sa susunod nyang sasabihin.

"But I don't want to rush things. I want to enjoy this. I want to enjoy evwr moment with you. Ang gusto ko lang ngayon ay alagaan ka hanggang sa maging tama na ang oras para satin. So if you will let me, I want to take care of you while waiting for the right time. Can I?" He looked at me with his eyes asking for permission.

"What?"

"Let me take care of you." He said as if this thing is what will really make him happy.

"But let me take care of you too so we're even." I pouted at him and his smile widened even more.

"Of course Rafi. My pleasure." He said with a spark of happiness in his eyes.

My heart is at eased and calmly beating against my chest maybe because I feel so comfortable, safe and secure in Zky's arms.
