Hello! So sorry i couldn't update as fast my computer was in the "hospital" getting fixed. I hope you enjoy the chapter though and a new one will be uploaded soon :)

Mom drove me home and when we pulled in I saw Alexei sitting on the steps.

“Is that?” My mom began.

“Yeah.” I said to her then unbuckled the seatbelt and opened the door.

Alexei saw the car as soon as we pulled up so he was already standing up when I walked up to him.

“So you went home sick? Doesn’t look like it.” He said handing me a bouquet of red roses.

“You’re so sweet.” I said sarcastically taking to flowers from him.

I put my index finger up towards my mom letting her know I'd be one minute and then invited Alexei inside. I put the roses in a tall glass and filled it with water and put the glass by the door so I could take it with me when I left tonight to my mom’s.

“So, is that your mom?” He said leaning against the counter top in the kitchen.

“Yeah. She’s here to help me move.” I said crossing my arms over my chest.

“Wait? You’re moving?” He said sadly.

            I laughed and nodded.

“Don’t be too sad Alexei. I’m only going to be four blocks away.” I said turning around and grabbing a glass and filling it with water.

“Great. I thought I wasn’t going to see you again.” He said to me with a smile.

“Who says you will?” I said seriously obviously joking.

He didn’t catch the joke though so his face paled.

“For heaven’s sake Alexei. I’m just kidding.” I said setting my glass down on the counter.

“You make me insane Rowan.” He said as he walked over to me.

I thought about my next words and deliberated if I should say them. I ended up meeting him in the middle.

“Alexei. I would… I would be willing to hang out together more. Maybe not as an item yet but just to get to know each other, you know?” I said making eye contact.

“Yes, yeah that’s completely fine. Let’s do that.” He said grabbing my hand

“Sounds good.” I said with a smile.

We walked outside together and my mom was still there waiting in her car. When she saw us though, she got out of the car and greeted us with a smile.
