Alexei’s P.O.V.

Rowan walked into the building her smile growing when she saw me. She was wearing a grey under-top, a light grey cardigan, dark blue skinny jeans, black vans, a necklace and infinity earrings, and a black beanie. Her makeup was pretty much the same and with the smile that she had on it made her glow but when she started to walk over to me and I felt all this anger inside of me. She still choose him over me and now she’s acting like nothing ever happened!

“Hey.” She said hugging me.

I didn’t wrap arms around her so she let go a second after and looked at me like I was the asshole.

“Seriously?” She said angry.

She sighed and looked away from me. She ran a hand through her hair before looking at me again.

“So this is how it’s going to be, Alexei? Look, I don’t belong to you. I’m not you girlfriend yet. I don’t want to go through this every single day Alexei. Maybe, maybe we should just be friends.” She said the last part in a whisper but I could still hear her.

“Rowan, Rowan no that wasn’t what I was trying to do. I can’t lie. I am really Jealous of this Jaxon guy and I just, I was just angry you choose to stay with him over me.” I said to her, looking in her eyes.

She shook her head and looked down at her feet for a moment before looking back up and me a tear running down her cheek.

“I don’t choose people over other people, Alexei. I thought you knew me better than that.” She said before walking away.

                What the hell just happened?

I had a hard time trying to focus on anything that wasn’t Rowan. God, why does this have to happen to us? Ever since Carrie and I… well we haven’t been the same- Rowan and I. Maybe she was still sore about it. Maybe I was being too protective and overpowering. Maybe both of us were.

“Alexei, do you have the answer?” Our history teacher asked pulling me away from my thoughts.

“Sorry, I don’t.” I replied looking at him.

“Columbus.” He said simply moving on to whatever else they were talking about.

The bell rang from fourth period and we all scattered to our “Academic Support” class. As I was walking down the hall I saw Carrie and she saw me.

Carrie walked up to me and wrapped her arms around my neck.

“I missed you Babe.” She said with a smile.

“Get off of me.” I said looking away from her trying to see if Rowan was anywhere nearby.
