“So what should I expect if I go with you on the tour?” Rowan asked me taking a bite of her noodles.

“Well,” I started. “We’ll be spending our nights in hotels but it would be paid for already. We’ll also be getting free promotion and at that point we’ll start asking to do town shows. Hopefully people will look into us.” I said drinking my water.

She nodded slowly biting the inside of her cheek.

“Again everything will be paid for and we’ll get to be together.” I added.

“Okay, and where exactly would we be going?” She asked.

“I don’t know that because we haven’t won yet Rowan.” I said looking at her straight in the eyes.

She nodded but that’s all she did before taking another bite of her noodles. We finished the night by watching Sons of Anarchy on Netflix. It didn’t take long for Rowan to fall asleep. She made it through one episode and then about ten minutes of the next one so I turned the TV off and laid down next to her.

“I'm lyin' here on the floor where you left me
I think I took too much
I'm crying here, what have you done?
I thought it would be fun…”

I heard from outside my room as I woke up from my sleep. Rowan. Her side of the bed had been pulled back neatly and my t-shirt that I had given her to sleep in was on the side table semi-folded nicely. I got up, ran a hand through my hair and did my business before walking out of the room to the smell of pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs.

Rowan was shaking her hips as she sang and cooked at the same time. I just decided to lean against the wall and wait until she saw me.

“I can't stay on your life support,
There's a shortage in the switch,
I can't stay on your morphine,
'Cause it's making me itch
I said I tried to call the nurse again
But she's being a little bitch,
I think I'll get outta here…”

She continued to sing. Every time I heard her sing her voice became more and more powerful. Maybe it was because she didn’t know I was behind her at the moment, or that she just wanted to keep this hidden talent to herself but she was extremely good.

I cleared my throat and she turned around so fast that she almost did a three sixty.

“Did you hear any of that?” She asked immediately.

I nodded with a smile on my face and in return, her face turned blood red in embarrassment. She turned around muttering a sorry and I shook my head before walking up behind her and wrapping my arms around her waist.

“You need to stop saying sorry for things that you do that I happen to love.” I said in her ear with a purr.
