Jordan tugged her into his arms as he collapsed back onto the pillows

"That was ..."

"Fucking amazing " Steph whispered finishing Jordan's thought.

She'd been afraid the sex would be waning now that they were free to be together but it was so much better than either of them expected.

Jordan was more attentive and loving than she'd ever thought possible.

His drinking however bothered her.Since the divorces were finalized he hadn't let up .

It at times still showed during performances which both she and Miguel tried to deter him .

One afternoon a few weeks after their reconciliation Steph found out why.

The record label he'd worked with under Chad was under investigation for embezzlement and mismanagement of funds both on the parts of paying their artists as well as the taxes owed to the government.

They were planning on seizing any of the music written under the label which would effect Jordan.He'd released three albums under the label two of which had original material he had worked hard to create .

The thought sickened her.

Jordan was a perfectionist when it came to everything he did Steph knew this had to be wearing on him .

Taking the letter to him as he worked on lyrics for the new album Jordan looked up at her inn surprise

"When did this come ?"

"A few minutes ago .Jordan why didn't you tell me what was going on? How long have you known about this ?"

"A couple of weeks .baby. I didn't want to worry you "

"Jordan we promised never to keep anything from one another "

Jordan stood from his spot and wrapped his arms around her pressing his lips to her temple

"Baby Miguel's taking care of it .Chad will never manage anyone again if he's lucky enough to avoid prison. Lou on the other hand not so much"

"Lou ?"

"Yea the asshole who signed me in the first fucking place.He's caused issues with other artists as well so he's looking at serious jail time. It'll be months before a trial begins honestly"

"Is that why you been hitting the Heinekin so hard lately?"

Jordan sighed in frustration "Don't start "

Steph squared her shoulders "Don't start ? Don't fucking start?! Fuck Jordan what about the kids including this baby?" Steph screeched pointing to her growing abdomen.

That snapped Jordan out of his moodiness . Steph's belly had popped overnight it seemed .

Kneeling in front of her as he wrapped his arms around her waist Jordan kissed her growing belly

"I'm sorry baby "He whispered as his voice cracked with emotion.

"I'm not her Jordan I actually give a shit about you and support you in everything .Don't shut me out .Brian did that and look how that ended ."

Tears glistening in his eyes Jordan looked up at her "I won't babygirl I swear"

They sat on the love seat in the office as Jordan filled her in on everything that was going on with the shit Lou pulled.Jordan explained it could either make or break his career but Miguel was working to ensure that would not happen.

Six weeks later Jordan got the call that Lou had been picked up for embezzlement and other shady business practices which meant he had to turn over proof that he'd actually written the music in question.

Miguel had a lawyer in place who fielded anything legal so that Jordan could begin to lay the tracks to his new album,even negotiating a joint venture with a member of another famous boybander that the fans would go crazy for.

The time line for laying tracks , setting it to music and recording stretched out before Jordan as Miguel worked his magic to set up a tour for the newly combined duo that would take them on the road from coast to coast .
