Fifty One

Bright and early the following Monday morning Jordan had Miguel call the local media . That afternoon with Steph in tow Jordan answered relentless questions , some very invasive which he expected but never realized would be presented so viciously .He spoke about the divorce , how Steph was indeed a fan initially ,how he never expected to fall in love with a fan and that with or without finding true love his marriage to Evelyn had always been strained ,as well as how it should have never continued as long as it did . He also declared that whether or not a new relationship developed divorce was always on his mind because he was unhappy. One reporter viciously questioned him stating that fans would never accept her and that marriage vows were sacred . Jordan took it all in stride as he held Steph's shaking hand in his before ending the session.

A few weeks later

Miguel scheduled Jordan on a local radio station  for an  interview promoting a show he was performing in Boston within the next few weeks.

The deejay zeroed right in on the nasty divorce like a pirhana .Miguel stormed in cutting the interview short and escorting Jordan out a back entrance away from the public's damning eyes.
"Miguel we need to do a press release I am so over this pirhana bullshit.This was covered weels ago and I will not have Steph torn to shreds "Jordan barked once they were in the back of the darkened suv.
"They're gonna keep at it J until they hear  what they wanna hear."
Handing him a magazine he nodded

"You may wanna take a look at this "

Jordan scanned it ,angrily tossing it to the floor of the vehicle
"Bullshit  complete utter fucking bullshit! " he c frustrated."This fucking bitch doesn't stop does she ?!" he seethed
"J man we need to squash this shit."
It seemed Evelyn and Brian joined forces stating that their relationship and subsequent affair had occurred longer than they were admitting to and that it caused emotional trauma for all parties involved.Evelyn stated that Jordan was both mentally as well as physically abusive .Brian stated that Steph had participated in numerous affairs throughout their marriage ,and purposely kept herself from becoming pregnant which denied him his right to be a father.Jordan hired a slew of attorneys ,private investigators and extra security to protect them and his boys, of whom he now had full custody due to his ex wife's attacks and wrecklessness stemming from the seperation and subsequent divorce.
Jordan jumped out of the vehicle before Patrick had it fully parked
"Baby!!!" he shouted running through  the  front door
No answer He called louder
"Stephi ?Baby ?" he tried a third time
Still no response.Jordan began to panic .Had she seen the news article he just read ?Had she changed her mind and flown out of Florida again? Bounding up the massive staircase to the master suite Jordan continued calling her name .
"Stephanie !" he called hoping using her full name would finally get her attention that is if she hadn't left his sorry ass.
"Jordan ! Whoa where's the fire !? And must you shout ?"she snapped as he rounded the corner to the bedroom.Pulling her into his arms as if he'd never see her again he peppered her face with kisses.
"What is it ?" she demanded trying to sound serious
"I love you "
Not following she nodded
"And I love you too I thought we established this already "
Dropping to his knees in front of her Jordan wound his arms around her waist resting his head on her growing abdomen
"We did but I'm still an ass ."he spoke quietly stroking her hips gently with his hands.
"I'm not following ?"
"This bullshit with Brian and Evelyn needs to stop.They will not be happy until they tear us apart and I will not allow them to control our lives ,our happiness any longer . I was going to wait to do this .You know fancy night out ,the works but it needs to happen now .I swear ill make it up to you but right now I need to know you'll be my partner,my wife?"
Out of nowhere or at least not from where she could see Jordan produced a white gold heart shaped sapphire and diamond solitaire.Not waiting for her answer Jordan slipped it on her finger as she stood mouth agape.
"J-Jor-Jordan " Steph stammered.
"All I want to hear is yes.Anything else from your beautiful sassy sexy mouth can wait because I don't wanna hear no"

The dam burst like a waterfall and all Steph  could do was nod.

"I love you baby I wish we would have met so much sooner " he whispered kissing her .
