Love At First Sight

 The room was tiny, not what I expected it to be. There was a massive beige corner sofa smack bang in the middle of the room, with an oak coffee table surrounding it. There was a small partition behind the sofa which I couldn't quite see. The rest of the room was pretty much the same, littered with screwed up tank tops and many other random things. 'They're really messy, considering they always look so perfect on videos and photos.' I thought to myself.

I stood in the doorway so that they couldn't see my face. Micheal was already sprawled out on the sofa daydreaming, while Calum sat next to him quietly strumming his guitar. God, they looked even more beautiful in real life! If I wasn't Sophie Baker, I'd be racing up to them, having an enormous fan girl moment. But I didn't. I was Sophie Baker, and I stayed rooted to my spot in the doorway.

Micheal lifted his dark eyes and glanced at Anna, who was standing practically in front of the coffee table. "So you're the lucky winner?" He gave her a big grin. Anna let a squeal escape her mouth, which seemed to catch Calum's attention. "Hi, um..."

"Anna, my name is Anna!" She hastily hugged Micheal and slid up next to Calum. "Cool guitar, you played really well tonight!" I couldn't believe it! Anna had just strolled up to them as if they were normal people! How did she have the confidence to do that? She seemed to forget about me, was too busy flirting with Calum Hood. Wish I could do that.

"Hey there!" I suddenly jumped in fright to see Ashton Irwin standing right in front of me. I melted inside. He was so hot! He had his usual red headband in his messy curly hair. His muscles popped out from his black tank top. The dimples in his face stood out as he grinned at me goofily. "Sorry I scared you, but you looked so lost there." His thick Australian accent rang through my ears. He held out his hand. "I'm Ash...you probably already know." I giggled shyly and shook his hand. He was trying to make me feel comfortable. He obviously guessed I was shy. He was so sweet.

"Hey guys! You forgot about this one!" Ashton slung his arm around my shoulder. I tensed at the thought of being so close to someone famous. Micheal and Calum lifted their heads and stared at me. Damn. I felt myself blushing already.

"Hey there. I'm Micheal. And this is Calum. You probably already know! Whats your name?"

My throat was dry. I tried to get the words out, but I struggled. I was too busy choking on my nerves and anxiety. "Um...I-I'm Sophie." I finally spluttered. Micheal winked at me and gestured for us to join them. I sat in between Micheal and Ashton. Calum suddenly lifted his head and flashed me his smile; the one that made him look like a cuddly bear. "Hey there Sophie. You're pretty." I shook my head quickly. "Yes you are, Sophie!" Ashton nudged me and winked. "And Sophie is a very nice name."

"Yeah, well she doesn't take compliments, because she has serious anxiety and doesn't get out much." Anna suddenly blurted out smugly. She was clearly trying to show me up in front of the boys, just to impress Ashton. "Thanks for telling the world, Anna!" I finally found my voice, and I was slightly angry. Anna looked surprised, then suddenly shrugged and carried on staring at Calum's guitar.

Once I found my voice, I started to get really chatty with Aston and Micheal. Calum was quiet, but kept looking up and smiling every once in a while. Maybe he was just tired, I know I would be if I'd just performed a big show. I didn't feel insecure around them any more, even though I'd only known them an hour.

"So, what do you enjoy doing? What are your hobbies?" Micheal asked me curiously. I sighed. "Well, I obviously like listening to you guys, I enjoy shopping, singing, playing guitar, writing my own songs, hanging out with friends, chocolate..."
