I'M SORRY THAT I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN A DAY OR 14 BUT THE HOMEWORK HAS BEEN A BETCH :(

Ready To Run?

I woke up to the slightly stunning sound of the chorus of She Looks So Perfect. I immediately flung the covers off of me and sat bolt upright, only to realize that it was just my alarm clock. 7am on a Monday morning. I smacked my hand down on the snooze button and rubbed my heavy eyes. This was what it felt like to have my life to go back to normal once again.

I crawled to the bottom of my bed and swung my legs over to stand up. I glanced sadly at my new outfit hanging from my wardrobe. my rucksack filled with my new textbooks that I had to order for Sixth Form. I sighed deeply. At least I only had two years left at school, then I could do what I wanted.

I had enough time to run myself a bath. I dropped one of my new bath bombs in and lay down, trying to relax. I couldn't wait to finish school. Maybe I'd actually get a career in singing. I mean, I had the potential, I now have the confidence, and I have the record deal.

After finally finishing my bath and brushing my teeth, I quickly made my way back to my room. There was nobody upstairs; they were probably all eating downstairs. I got dressed into my skinny black ripped jeans, maroon sweater and maroon Vans. I quickly applied my concealer, foundation, eyeliner, mascara and red lipstick, before curling my hair loosely at the ends. I slipped the three bracelets that Calum bought me onto my wrist, along with a new silver ring I'd brought with Anna. When I'd stuffed my books and pens into my bag, I sat on my bed, juggling my phone in between my hands. I really wasn't in the mood today.

My phone suddenly vibrated in my hand. I looked down at the caller ID and grinned widely when I saw it was Luke. I tapped on the green button and brought my phone to my ear. "Sophie Grace Baker." I closed my eyes and smiled at his voice. "Lucas Robert Hemmings."

"And a very good morning to you!" I giggled at his "British" accent. "But you're in Australia. It's like 7pm there."

"Um, yeah..." Luke's voice suddenly sounded suspicious, but he changed the subject before I could ask why. "So, what are you doing today?"

I rolled my eyes, slinging my backpack over my shoulder and making my way out of my room. "I'm back to school, Luke." I heard him snort slightly over the line, "It's not funny! I don't want to!" He chuckled louder this time. "Awh, I'm sorry babe. I dropped out, so...don't take any advice from me."

I laughed, nearing the end of the stairs and realizing that I needed to end the call. "I've gotta go now..." I trailed off sadly, wishing that I could talk to him all day.

"Don't worry." Luke chuckled again. "So have a nice day at school." He emphasized the word school, just to annoy me. "And I'll see you later." I frowned in confusion, processing his words. "You will?" I asked uncertainly as he stuttered on the other end of the line. "Yeah...on Skype." I let out a breath that I'd been holding. "Right okay."

"Yeah gotta go love you bye!" Luke babbled before cutting the call. I stared at my now blank screen in confusion. What was up with him?

I shrugged it off, walking into the kitchen and sitting down at the table, where my mom placed a bacon sandwich down in front of me. She always used to do it for us kids on the first day back at school. I took a bite before glancing around the table. My mom and dad, back together again, joking around like they used to. Carly, seeming so much more happier nowadays, and Ivy, growing up slowly. I couldn't believe it. My family was complete.

"I'm making us all a big slap-up meal tonight." My mom suddenly mused, taking my now empty plate and pushing a mug of coffee towards me. "Why?" I asked, sipping on my coffee as my dad chuckled. "She meant just for me, not you." He grinned smugly as I pretended to throw my coffee over him. "I'm joking. It's a treat, since you've gotta go back to school."
