You're Beautiful Just The Way You Are

Disneyland Paris? Was he out of his mind?! Why would Luke Hemmings, the Luke Hemmings, take a 15 year old girl like me to Disneyland? I bet it cost him a fortune! We walked hand in hand together along the streets of Paris. I could already see the castle looming in the distance.

"Luke, are you sure you want to do this?" I whined as we neared Disneyland. "I bet its cost you a bomb! And why not invite the other guys?"

Luke jerked at my hand teasingly. "Sophie, I'm a part of a wold famous band. Trust me, its not like I'm broke. And two, the other boys didn't want to come. Calum still wants to go up the Eiffel Tower. Michael isn't keen on roller coasters, and Ashton just agreed to watch over them." I sighed heavily. I suppose that was a good excuse.

"Besides," Luke stopped on the pavement and turned to look at me. "You and me haven't spent that much time alone, have we?" I froze in my spot. "Are you saying that this is a date?" Oh God. Was Luke Hemmings really taking me on a date?!

Luke raised one eyebrow and rolled his tongue around in his mouth. "Do you want it to be a date?" He laughed when I glared at him. "Well, we're not really kitted out for a date, are we?"

I glanced down at my purple tracksuit bottoms and black sweater that I'd thrown on before the flight. I didn't really have enough time to change once we'd arrived at the hotel. I didn't even get chance to brush my hair!

I glared again and strode on ahead with my chin in the air, as Luke scrambled to keep up with me. "Well its not my fault I look ugly! Because someone didn't let me..."

I stopped dead in the street. Just across the road was a shop. It wasn't just any shop, not one of those small high street shops that you get in your local town. It was a real designer shop, a beautiful shop. The name, Monoprix, was illuminated neon in the sun's light. But it wasn't the shop that caught my eye. It was what was in the shop. I rushed across the street and pressed my nose against the glass.

There, was the most beautiful dress I could ever imagine. It was short, just above knee length. It was a crisp clean white in colour, with tiny diamante sparkles to make it all the more glamorous. It was strapless with a slim-fitted waist, and then curved out at the skirt in delicate ruffles. I almost drooled over the window. It was perfect.

Within seconds I could feel Luke behind me. "Sophie..." His voice had a hint of disapproval, but I could tell he wasn't all serious. "What are you doing?"

I jabbed a finger on the glass. Luke peered in and shook his head. "Soph, have you seen the price! 163.99! And that's just in dollars!" I spun around to face him. "You said that you weren't broke! Surely you can afford this!" I gestured to the dress, but Luke continued shaking his head. "And what will people think when you're carrying around a high quality designer dress? They'll nick it off you! Soph, you're not having it!"

I folded my arms across my chest and turned away from him. "Well then I'm not moving!"

There was a moment of silence before Luke sighed deeply. "Fine."

For a split second, I thought that he had given in. But by the time I'd turned around, it was too late.

Luke grabbed me and threw me over his shoulder all in one move. I screamed and thrashed desperately, earning dirty looks from passers by. I thumped his back in defeat. "I hate you, Hemmings."

Luke laughed. "The feelings mutual, Baker." He fired back teasingly.

When we finally reached the gates to Disneyland, Luke put me down. "And just for the record, you don't need a dress to be beautiful, because you're beautiful just the way you are." I almost caved in and hugged him, but I narrowed my eyes. "Okay. Cupboard Love. What do you want?"
