Right, so I had tonsillitis about a week ago, and I finished my medication on Tuesday. And guess what's just come back?
TONSILLITIS!!!
I've Seen Sloths Happier Than You
Luke's P.O.V.
As I finished up my last little bit of packing, I sat back down on the bed with Sophie's little note in my hand. She'd stuffed it inside my phone case when she slipped it under my door. All it read was "Sorry Hemmings, no hard feelings ;D" But it still made me smile all the same. She never failed to make me smile. Ever.
Once I was finally ready, I clattered down the stairs, tripping at nearly every step because of my huge suitcases. I parked them next to everyone else's. The porch was just a place to dump them all until our taxi came. We were flying back out to Paris tonight and would arrive in the early morning, but we'd only spend one whole day there, because Sophie was going home the day after. I felt this weird pain in my chest when I thought about it, almost as if I was gonna...cry.
I shuffled into the lounge, where the rest of the boys were lazing about on the couches, laughing wildly and swiping at their phone screens. Sophie was no where to be seen.
"Hey Luke." Ashton greeted me, kicking his feet out on Calum's lap. "You ready to go?"
I nodded, sitting down next to Michael. "Where's Soph?"
"Still upstairs." Calum answered, pushing Ashton's feet off of him in a disgusted way. "Anyway guys! What's the plan?"
"We'll get to Paris at about 1am, and I take it that Soph will wanna go back to the Disneyland Hotel to see that Cassie." Ashton stopped to think. "And then...she'll be going home the day after."
The room stayed silent after that, except for the sound of our minds whirring. "I actually don't want her to leave." Michael piped up in a small and almost embarrassed voice, but all of us nodded in agreement. None of us wanted her to leave. She completed us.
"Jeez, I've seen sloths happier than you lot." All of our heads snapped towards the door as Sophie appeared in the door way. She was wearing skinny light denim jeans with a white lacy top and white Converse. Her hair was in a curly and messy bun and her makeup was natural and simple, but she still shone. All four of us stood up at the same time, and she burst out laughing. "What is up with you guys?"
"Nothing." Calum answered for us, biting his lip as he looked at her. There was a very awkward silence again, which was finally broken by the honk of the car horn outside. "That's our ride, folks!" Ashton shooed us all into the porch as Sophie jumped up and down excitedly. The boys wheeled their cases outside, leaving just me and Sophie still in the porch. She reached out to grab her suitcase, but I placed my hand over hers, my fingers hitting something cold. I lifted her hand to see the ring that I'd given her, delicately slipped on her ring finger.
"You did well Hemmings." She joked, pulling her hand from mine. "Sorry about earlier."
I paused for a moment, before grinning and playfully elbowing her in her side. "Sorry about what?"
Her face broke out into a huge grin as she rolled her eyes, grasping her suitcase. "Wanna share earphones on the plane?"
"I'll think about it." I winked at her as she giggled and wheeled her case over to Michael. I couldn't help but get that horrible chesty feeling again. She was slowly slipping away, and so was my chance of telling her the truth.
Sophie's P.O.V.
He was slipping away, faster and faster each day. I knew deep down that I needed to tell him, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.
