Did I Just Hear That Right?

"Well! Why did they say?" Anna pressed eagerly as we sat down at our usual lunch table. We'd always sat at that exact table since Year 7, just me and Anna. Sometimes a few of the girls came to join us, and even David used to wander over and sit next to us. But that was before the accident...

"Well." I wiped the thought from my mind and began picking at my muffin. "They interviewed me about everything I did with the boys, and they asked me to sing for them." Anna's eyes widened. "And? Did you?"

I nodded. "They like me, and they want to start working with me after Christmas, in the New Year." I skimmed my thumbs over my tiny rounded nails. "Apparently they have a few ideas for new songs."

Anna nodded, her eyes resting on my hands. "What's this?" She tapped her finger gently on my ring. "Luke gave this to you?"

My face broke out into an automatic smile as I twisted the infinity ring round and round my finger. "Yup. He told me that I should always remember him when I have it on." Anna pouted, before pointing to my necklace. "And that! He give you that too?" I glanced down at my clover necklace, before shaking my head. "Oh no, this is from Cassie."

Anna scrunched up her nose, reaching over to pinch some of my muffin. "Who's Cassie?"

I laughed, pulling my muffin away from her grasp and filling my mouth with it. "Long story."

"Sophie?" I heard my name, and quickly looked up to see who it was. I almost choked on my muffin when I saw who was standing over our table. Naomi Sanders, probably the bitchiest girl in the school. Plays her mouth to teachers, throws shade at everyone behind their backs. She never took any notice of the quiet people, only to ask for answers in tests. I'm pretty sure that she'd never spoken to me in my life, so it was kinda surprising to see her standing by our lunch table.

"Naomi?" I asked, the disbelief clearly written in my voice. She obviously heard, but ignored me, continuing to pick at her nails as she spoke. "So I heard that you went on tour with 5SOS..." She glanced up nervously, and I nodded, signalling for her to continue. "And I heard your singing...and you are actually amazing."

Anna suddenly burst out laughing at the idea of Naomi dishing out compliments. I kicked her shin sharply under the table, and she quickly made out like she was having a coughing fit. I turned back to Naomi and smiled weakly. "Well...thanks." I spoke awkwardly, knowing that there wasn't much left to say. Naomi nodded slightly, before flipping her ombre hair and stalking away as quickly as she'd appeared.

"Did I just hear that right?" I turned to Anna, who was rubbing her leg. "Naomi Sanders just gave you a compliment?"

I raised my eyebrows and widened my eyes in a way of response. "You were right. I don't think this day can get any crazier."

But of course, I was wrong.

OMG I've just realized this is the shortest chapter I've probably ever done! And I'm really sorry about that :( but since the next chapter is the very last one (tear) it will be longer and better. Plus I'm really excited to tell everyone the news!

So as you may or may not know, me and @mrs_irwinxoxo  are very good friends :D and we both love 5SOS and stuff (who doesn't?)

And remember how I said a few chapters ago that I was gonna start an Ashton Irwin fan fiction?

WELL SCRAP THAT.

I've had a better idea!

Me and @mrs_irwinxoxo , its easier to call here Simran :D have decided to make a joint Wattpad account where we'll write 5SOS Preferences and Imagines and whatever else you want us to write!

We haven't set up the account yet, but as soon as we have, we'll get the name and details and stuff out to all you guys! I'll probably put it in my next chapter, so make sure you follow, vote and read when its up and running!

Already have a few ideas...

And of course, I may post some of them on my personal account too.
