***Hey guys! So I know in the last chapter, you guys probably wanted to slap Melody (and myself) upside the head for the way Melody acted....yeah. I promise the urge to strangle her or myself will subside in a chapter or two! haha. Anyway, here is chapter 13! Enjoy!***

Hunter's POV- three days later

I don't know why Melody decides to hate me. I mean, I know she's rude and all, but what did I do? What am I going to do? She's clearly snooping around with Sam's phone, considering our little conversation the other night via text messaging. I don't get how Sam doesn't notice this. He should know that I would never flirt with anyone's girlfriend, especially his own!

At the moment, I'm sitting on my bed, thinking about what in the world I could do to try and fix this whole situtation. If I contact Melody, she'll make up some story and lie, or do something to make me miserable. Or she would tell Sam that I was 'flirting' with her, which would make talking to Sam very, very complicated. After several minutes of thinking, an idea dawns on me.

I could talk to the rest of the band.

They don't seem to like Melody anymore than I do, and they'll probably listen to me more than Sam or Melody would. Grabbing my phone, I send out a text to the other members of the band.

To: 5 contacts

Hey, can you guys all come by my place in about an hour? We need to talk.

I sent the message, and minutes later, I got four replies, all saying that they'd be there. Sitting down on my couch, I wonder how they'll react to what I plan on explaining to them. Will they agree with me, or will they side with Sam, causing the whole band to be against me? If that happens, if they don't back me up, that could possibly put my career in danger. I can't let that happen.

I reamained on the couch for what felt like hours, when in reality it was about forty five minutes. Just as I was about to get up, I heard my doorbell ring. One of the guys must be here, then. Stretching as I get up off the couch, I walk into the kitchen and to the front door. I open the door, and see all four guys standing there. How'd they all get here at the same time? "We came in Andy's car." Matt explaied. I must've been thinking out loud. Nodding, I let them inside. "Do any of you know if Sam's coming?" I ask, once we're all standing in my living room.

They shake their heads. "He might just be running a little late." Steve suggests. Yeah, I think. Running late. More like he probably wants nothing to do with me. We all find a spot on the two couches in the living room, the silence seeming quite nice, almost comforting. Ten minutes later, I hear a car pull into the driveway. Huh. He must've come after all. "Guys, I'm gonna get the door. Be back in a minute." I announce, standing up from my seat. Walking through the living room and up to the front door, I grab the door knob, before looking out the window. Sam's car was parked next to Andy's. Opening the door, I was greeted with a not so happy looking Sam. His expression was stern.

"You showed up." I observe, looking at him. He rolled his eyes, almost like how Melody always does. She must be rubbing off on him. "Great observation. May I?" he asks, motioning inside. I nod and stand to the side, closing the door behind him. We both walk back to the living room, and I stand in the middle of the room as Sam takes the spot I had occupied just moments ago.

"Now," I start, clasping my hands together. All five of them look to me, curiously. "I'm sure you all know of Melody, Sam's girlfriend, right?" I ask. They all nodded, all except for Sam. He eyed me with betrayal, his expression looked pained.

1 hour later-Hunter's POV

They looked at me with shock clear on their faces. "So, let me get this straight," Devo starts, looking around. "what you're saying is that Melody told you to stay away from Sam?" he asks. I nod. "Yep. She claimed I would be a 'distraction' to Sam." I explain, crossing my arms over my chest. Looking out the window, I noticed that the sky had turned dark gray. It was getting windy, leaves and twigs blowing around in the yard. Sam stood up, facing me. "She told me that you were flirting with her, even when you knew she was mine. Explain that." he demanded, looking down at me. This is one of the many times I wish I could be just a few inches taller, so I wouldn't have to look up at him. It's awkward, really.

"Okay, for one thing, I was never 'flirting' with her. She would barely let me talk to her to begin with! And second, I had no clue you were dating her until three days ago!" I exclaim, my voice rising ever so slightly. I usually don't yell, but I have a feeling today would be a turning point. Sam scoffed, accusingly. I decided to continue on, I was tired of people not listening to me.

"Alright, I'm done. I've had it with you people not believing me, not taking me seriously! Sam, you've known me for what, almost four years now? Out of every girlfriend you've had since you've joined this band, how many times have I interfered with the relationship? Did I ever flirt with the girl? Did I? No. Heck, some of your girlfriends I couldn't stand! But I never said anything becasue I knew that she made you happy, and I respect people's personal relationships. Melody is different, Sam. She's lied to you, used you. How can you not see that?" I question him, looking him in the eye.

He towered over me, staring me down. "How dare you accuse her of such things! You're just jealous, that's what it is! You're jealous that you don't have someone to call your own, don't have a girlfriend!" he exclaims loudly. I throw my hands up in the air, frustrated. "Accusing? Sam, what I'm telling you is the honest truth. When have I ever lied to you? Let alone about someone you love? And I am not jealous, heck, she's one of your girlfriends I can't stand! She's rude, seriously rude, she needs a reality check. If you don't believe me, if you think she's this perfect little angel, which she's not, here. She took your phone when you were having movie night the other night, and was texting me. I was smart and screenshotted the conversation, because she most likely deleted the messages when we were done talking." I say, showing him the conversation. He took the phone, reading the messages. I kept watch of his expression, which was changing every few seconds.

Moments later, he gave me the phone back. "Let the others see." he said grimly. I nodded hesitantly, and passed the phone around. While the other guys were reading, Sam looked at me. "I still don't know if I believe you, seeing as that particular conversation didn't really prove anything. It was mainly Melody just being rude to you, which I'll talk to her about that, but as of now, I don't believe you." he explains, crossing his arms. Matt taps me on the shoulder. Turning around, he gives me the phone. "I always knew she would be a complicated one." he whispers, rolling his eyes.

"Call her." I say, turning back to Sam as I slid my phone into my back pocket. "Now?" he asks, raising his eyebrows. "Yes, now! We need to sort this out." I say, growing impatient. He sighs and pulls out his cell phone, dialing her number. Putting the phone up to his ear, the dial tone rings three times before I could make out Melody's voice on the other end.

"Hey, you need to come to Hunter's house. Now." Sam says sternly. I heard her question him. "Because we have some talking to do. Be here as soon as you can." he said, before hanging up. He put his phone back into his pocket, before walking back over to the couch to sit. Looking out the window once more, I saw that it was pouring down rain. Trees were blowing madly in the wind, the rain coming down in sheets that made it hard to see clearly.

I have a feeling we're all going to be stuck here for a while.
