***Hey guys! So this is random, but the 'unplugged' or 'acoustic' version of "Little Me" by Litte Mix is beautiful! I've heard it on Pandora a lot lately. Anyway, here is chapter 14! Hope you all enjoy. Much love! :)***
Melody's POV
The line went dead. I wonder what Sam is so urgent about? He sounds annoyed. Grabbing my purse, I start to head out the front door of my house. Well, temporary house. I only have to be stuck here in Tennessee for about two more months, then I'm free to go home! As I look step out of the house, I notice that it's pouring down rain, almost like I was looking at blurry, cold sheets of water falling from the sky. I'll have to brave the rain, I guess. So much for my hair, seeing as rain makes it humiliatingly frizzy.
Quickly jogging to my truck as best I could, considering I'm in high heels, I climb inside and start the engine. The rain was so loud, I couldn't even hear the truck turn on. Slowly pulling out of the driveway, I start the short drive to Sam's house. I've always hated driving in the rain, but luckily it doesn't rain this hard in Beverly Hills.
Fifteen minutes later, I find Sam's house. Climbing out of my truck, I smooth down my skirt and adjust my bag on my shoulder. I walk up to the front door and knock, waiting for someone to answer. Seconds later, I see Sam open the door, not looking like his normal, happy self. He looked rather confused and slightly annoyed, and it wasn't a very nice look on him, to be honest. "What did you need, babe?" I ask, rubbing my hand down his arm. He backed away, stepping aside. "We have to talk, Melody. All of us, the band, Hunter. Everyone." he says, letting me inside.
He leads me into his living room, where the rest of the band, and Hunter, sat. They stared back at me, all of their expressions looking rather blank, as if they didn't know what to think of me being there. All except Hunter, who eyed me with hurt and frustration.
I wonder what kind of sob story he played off to the other guys this time.
"Melody, you already know everyone I assume, so let's get down to business. Hunter, did you have something to say to Melody?" Sam starts, questioning Hunter. He looks at Sam, then at me, like he wasn't expecting the need to make conversation with me. "What? Are you scared of a girl or something? I didn't drive over here in the pouring rain for nothing." I tell Hunter, crossing my arms after pointing to my hair, which had gotten slightly wet from walking up to the house. He raises his eyebrows, then shakes his head, before standing up to walk over to me.
"I'm just gonna dive right into this. What is your problem with me?" he demanded, looking me in the eye as best he could, considering I was currently in five inch heels and he had to look up at me. I scoff, rolling my eyes. "Problem? More like problems. It's not a singular thing, Hunter." I retort, crossing my arms. "Well then, what are your problems with me? Why do you hate me so much?" he repeated, pleadingly.
I chuckled, before ruffling his hair. "Silly boy, I have problems with you because I simply dislike you." I say, twirling a strand of hair around my finger. He tugged at the ends of his hair, seeming incresingly frustrated as the moments ticked by. "Why? What did I ever do to you? And why did you lie to Sam about me flirting with you? I never flirted with anyone, and the only reason I was talking to you was to try and be nice to you. I didn't even know Sam was in the picture yet!" he exclaimed, his voice rising slightly.
"Clearly, you don't know me as well as you think you do, Hunter." I say tauntingly. He turns away, putting his hand to his forehead like he was stressed out. Whipping around, he walked right up to me.
"Listen, Melody. I'm not one to yell and scream and lose my temper, but I've had enough of these games you've been playing! I've done nothing but be nice to you, and every time you just blow me off and say something rude. You know, I thought that maybe with time, you'd change your attitude for the better, but you've done the exact opposite. I don't understand, why are you so into being mean to people? Do you not realize that it makes you look like a five year old? I mean, really! I can see why your parents flew you down here for the summer!" he exclaimed, clearly struggling to keep his voice from getting too loud.
