***Hello! If you had issues reading the last chapter on the Wattpad app, try reading it on the Wattpad website on the internet. Some people had issues with the chapter not showing up, but I found that it showed up on the website. Sorry about that guys!

Also, in this story, Danielle Bradbery is 20 years old. In real life, I believe she's 18. But here, she's 20. Just keep that in mind! Anyway, here's chapter 37!***

Hunter's POV- 1 week later

Last night we played a show in Ohio, and tonight we're playing in Michigan. The weather is starting to get cooler, seeing as it's the middle of October. Weirdly enough, it was still rather hot outside during September. Not nearly as hot as it was during July or August, but it wasn't exactly cold enough to wear jeans and a sweatshirt. From what I learned the hard way on our last stop in Michigan, is that it's usually colder in October than you'd think.

I was smart enough to pack some hoodie sweatshirts this time.

Dan, Shay, Danielle, and myself were all on Dan and Shay's bus. My band had decided to stay on our bus, and I'm assuming Danielle's band is on her bus. We usually do this, all staying on one bus to travel between cities. It kills time and gives us people to talk to. At night, we go back to our own buses or to our hotel rooms if we have to stay in a hotel.

Shay was sitting at the end of the couch, quietly strumming away at his Gibson acoustic guitar, while Dan was texting someone - most likely his girlfriend - on his phone. That left Danielle and I to make conversation, seeing as we were just sitting across from each other on the couches in the bus. She was gazing out the window, watching the highway blur by. I checked the time on my phone, before sending a quick text to Melody.

To: Melody

Hey Mel :) just chillin' on the bus, whatcha up to?

I set my phone down beside me, glacning back up at Danielle. She seemed bored, and quite honestly, I was, too. You can only do so much while on a tour bus. "What's up, Danielle?" I ask, getting her attention. She snapped out her thoughts, turning to me. "Hm? Oh, nothing. Why?" she questioned, a curious look plastered on her face. I shrugged my shoulders. "No reason, you just seemed bored," I answer. She nods. "Ah. Yeah, sitting on a bus can get kinda boring sometimes," she laughed. I nodded, when my phone buzzed next to me. It was Melody answering my text.

From: Melody

Hey! Not much, just tried to open a bag of flour to bake something..flour is now all over me.

I smirked at the thought of her getting covered in flour. Seems like it'd be a cute sight to see. I quickly answered her back.

To: Melody

Why does that seem like it'd be adorable to see you with flour covering your face? ;)

I put my phone down, and returned to talking to Danielle. She smirked. "What's got you all happy?" she asked. "Oh, um, nothing. I'm just in a good mood is all," I reply, hoping she didn't catch me in my little white lie about texting Melody. She nodded, seeming unconvinced. "Okay," she said after a moment. "So are you enjoying the tour?" I questioned, changing the subject.

Her face lit up. "It's been great!" she exclaimed happily. I smiled. "I'm glad you're having fun. Touring is probably the best thing in the world. How's Brent?" I ask, referring to her boyfriend. Her face dropped, and she looked down, seeming suddenly quiet.

Crap.

I have a feeling that wasn't a good question.

"We broke up a few weeks ago, he'd found someone else," she explained after a moment. I felt horrible for asking her that, but I honestly had no idea. "I'm sorry, Danielle, I just thought you guys were still together," I apologize. She shook her head, looking at me. "No, you didn't know about it. It's fine, really. I just miss him," she continued. I feel so bad for her, she's so young and one of the nicest girls I've met. As far as I know, she and Brent were together for a while. I remember her talking about him when I'd sang with her on The Voice. I felt even worse because here she is, missing her ex boyfriend who'd dumped her, while I'm in a happy relationship with Melody. Maybe it's a good thing we haven't gone public yet.

I got up and went to sit next to her. "I really am sorry, Danielle. I honestly had no idea he'd done that to you. You'll find someone better, I promise," I reassure her, giving her a quick side hug. She nodded, giving me a small grin. "Thanks Hunter," she said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "No problem," I answer, getting up to return to my original spot.

I continued texting Melody for a bit, before she had to go. Looking around the bus, I saw that Shay was playing a game on his phone, and Dan had his earphones in, listening to music. Danielle was doing something on her phone, and I was just sitting here. Melody was busy and couldn't text, and everyone on the bus was in their own little world. Worst of all, my guitar was on my bus. I'd use Shay's guitar just to play around and kill time, but he's funny about people messing with his guitar. He told me once that he let his younger cousin hold it, and since he's apparently no older than seven, the guitar was too big for him and he dropped it on the tile floor. It broke somehow, and Shay had to get a new guitar.

I guess the only thing I can do is sleep. I need to anyway, considering I'm running on about five hours of sleep.

Danielle's POV

I plugged my earphones into my phone, then put them in my ears and turned on some music on my phone. Thinking back to the conversation Hunter and I had a few minutes ago, I come to realize that I hadn't really thought about Brent since Hunter had brought him up. It's not his fault, though. He didn't know that Brent had broken up with me. The past week and a half on this tour with Hunter, Dan, and Shay has been awesome. The guys are a lot of fun, and they don't ignore me just because I'm one of the few girls on this tour. Aside from me, there's only three girls on the tour. Betsy, who's Hunter's manager, Anna, who's Dan and Shay's publicist, and Bri, my manager.

As I let my mind start to wander, I find myself thinking more about Hunter than I probably should. Glancing at him from my spot on the couch, I saw that he was asleep. Out like a light. He looked peaceful. Poor guy, I'm sure he doesn't get to sleep much while on tour, with playing two and a half hour shows almost every night.

A piece of his blonde hair had fallen in his face as he shifted in his sleep, making him look...attractive, actually. The way his black shirt seemed to hug his arms made him look that much more attractive. The thought of his arms made me think of when he'd hugged me a while ago, after talking about Brent. His embrace was quick, but warm. I wonder what it'd feel like to actually hug him for real.

Wait...what...?

I mean, he is good looking, I'm not gonna lie. Whenever we do a show, Dan, Shay, and myself often watch the concert from backstage. I think when Hunter starts playing the drums during 'Storyline' is when he looks really good. He gets so into his performances, it's awesome. I wish I could someday be as good a musician as him. The way he gets into his guitar solos makes all the girls go insane, and I can see why.

His eyes are breathtaking, in a way. His hair seems like it'd be soft and fluffy, like a cloud. Except for days when he loads it up with hair gel or hairspray. Then it just looks kinda...not so cloud-like. And he's super sweet, always being a gentleman. But he's probably taken, I mean what girl wouldn't want to be with him?

The more I think about it, the more I start to think Hunter's going to be taking up more of my thoughts than I'd anticipated.

***BAZINGA. (Anyone get the refrence? Yes? No?) You guys should know by now that I like pulling plot twists on ya'll. ;) Hope you enjoyed this chapter!***
