***Hello! So really quick- if you ever have a question about any of my stories, feel free to message me and ask! I know sometimes when I write something, it might make sense to me, because I know what's gonna happen, but you guys don't. So if you ever have a question, don't hesitate to ask! :)***
1 week later- Hunter's POV
I groggily open my eyes, sunlight streaming through the blinds on my bedroom window. Stretching, I run my hands through my hair before lazily getting out of bed. I look at the clock next to my bed, and see that it's almost eleven o'clock in the morning. "Dang, must've been tired," I mutter to myself, grabbing my iPhone as I walked into my bathroom. I change out of my pajamas and into a white V-neck shirt, paired with a good pair of jeans. As I'm brushing my teeth, I check my missed calls on my phone.
Dan, my producer, had called me thirteen times in the past hour.
Crap.
Rinsing my mouth, I dial his number and put the phone up to my ear. "Hunter, where are you?!" I hear Dan exclaim on the other end of the phone. Not even a 'hello' or 'good morning'. I must be in trouble. "Uh, at home? I just got up, Dan," I explain, still somewhat half asleep. He huffed, sounding annoyed. "Well, you were supposed to be here over an hour ago. You've got songs to work on, Hunter. Get here as fast as you can," he ordered. "I know, I know. I'm sorry. I'll be there in twenty minutes," I answer, before hanging up the phone.
Sliding my phone into my back pocket, I quickly put on my black Converse and rush out the front door, grabbing my car keys on the way out.
~20 minutes later~
I park my car in the studio parking lot and quickly make my way inside. Dan and the rest of the band were standing there, waiting for me. "Sorry guys, really, I just slept late and forgot," I explain. "It's alright, you're here now, so let's get down to work," Andy answers. We all sit down somewhere in the studio room, business waiting to be discussed.
"So, Hunter, you're starting the second part of the 'We're Not Invisible' tour next week. Your opening acts, Dan and Shay, and Danielle Bradbery, will be joining you on this half of the tour," Dan explains.
Next week?!
"Is there a problem?" Dan asks, concerned. He must've noticed the shock on my face. I quickly snap out of my thoughts. "I, uh, no. I just wasn't paying attention, sorry," I lie, looking at him. I had been paying attention, but I was thinking about Melody. She has no idea that I leave again next week, and I'd completely forgotten up until now. I would bring her with me for the second half of the tour, but that would mean telling the band about our relationship, and I don't know if she's ready for people to know just yet. To be honest, I'm not really ready for the word to get out yet, either. I want to keep it private as long as we can, and when we're ready to tell people, we will. I highly doubt she'll magically just want to tell people about us within the next few days.
"Well, you should start paying attention. I've emailed Betsy, your manager, and she told me to tell you that Dan, Shay, and Danielle will be meeting you at the first show you have. But you guys," he explained, motioning to the band and I. "Should probably start working on getting some new songs written, start thinking about the next album. It'll probably be released in a year or so, but it's never to early to start working on it," he explains.
"Alright, we'll start working," I tell him, grabbing my Martin guitar that I keep at the studio.
