Yippy! My Chapter two! and it's even smaller than the first one! But that's okay, the next two are longer :) I think I will need to take abreak for a couple of days, my eyes are literally turning pink from staring at the computer, and my hands are tired. I don't think that is a good sign :/

I only got two comments on the last one... from the same person... but thats okay because they fanned me, and they're awesome just for that :)

Well I don't have like anyone reading this yet, hopefully the more I post the more reads I will get. *crosses fingers*

When your done reading, go tell your friends to read it. And tell them to tell their friends, and so on :)

Now, go read it yourself :)

"SUMMER? SUMMER!" I was screaming, my voice running hoarse. I'd been running through the woods where they'd found her little cardigan, just two nights ago, before they'd declared her missing as of today. I'd been out for nearly two hours, since 5:00 when they'd told us she was gone.

I'd sat silently in shock, before getting up and driving to the edge of the town, where the forest becomes so dense you can't see a thing once night falls. The sun was setting and it was dark, though I knew very well it would be near full daylight outside the forest. If I didn't turn back now, I'd be forced to spend the night here, which would be spent in pure darkness. Sobbing uncontrollably, I turned to go back in the direction I'd come from. Which direction HAD I come from?

In the back of my mind my subconscious noted noone knew where I was, I told them I was taking a drive to the next city over, 'I needed some of my favourite coffee' was the excuse. Though I wasn't turning sixteen until the end of the summer, and I was still considered too young, I did own a motorcycle. And did I ever love it. What I wouldn't give just to sit on it and let it take me back home, where I could soak my aching feet...

I mentally slapped myself. I had to get back to the motorcycle before I could find it. I realized with a scary calm at that moment two things; one, I was lost. Two, Summer was no longer on the East Coast of Canada. Where she was, I had no clue. Something from the ancient part of my brain, the reincarnation of my soul, tugged my more modern self. I told it to shut up.

Feeling more weary than when I left, my now dry eyes felt as though they were as red as my hair. I closed my eyes, feeling faint, and followed some kind of instinct I never knew I had. The temperature dropped, a few owls hooted, sticks cracked; both under my weight and that of other creatures who shared this night with me. The few dry sobs that escaped my lips were enough to scare away anything that got too close.

I stopped and opened my eyes. In front of me was a black Triumph Daytona 675SE gleaming in the moonlight. I walked over and slid the keys into the ignition. Yup, it was real. I didn't know how I got back, but whatever. I shrugged it off, all I wanted was to get back home, a 20 minute drive from here. My black leather jacket and matching gloves hiding my skin, my sanguine hair was the only telltale sign of another person on the highway as I turned off all lights and sped off towards the unnatural yet comforting glow of the city.
