Pretty sure it's been longer than the last time I updated ;o Dont' blame me, blame igor! It's a bit shorter than I would have liked, but I wanted to get this up for you guys! I got another two fans :D but whether it was for this story or something else I don't know, but thanks anyways!! :D So I got two votes, but I have six fans... The more you vote the more encouraged I am and the faster I'll try and write!

It may end up taking me this long to update all the time though.. because I just started highschool and it's kinda crazy and I don't really want to fail, haha.. I'm not quite used to the amount of work yet, I'm one of those people that never studies and gets all A's :/ great study habits huh? And then theres swimming, and I've decided to do extra and do a solo as well as our team routine. And don't bother asking how swimming a solo is synchronised swimming, you synchronise with the music okay? haha ;D

So living without power for four days was quite the experience, we really take it for granted. Just had to get that out there.

Hope you enjoyed my little rant, though you probs didn't, here's the story! Vote pleeeeeeeeease and thankyou. And comments are also very much appreciated!!!!!

I awoke with a start, thinking for a moment that I was alone, until I noticed Talon on the other side of the bed, practically on the edge, as far away from me as he could get. Under normal circumstances, I would find this offensive. But I knew it was simply because the skin to skin contact between us was painful on his part, becoming more painful each day as my skin grew hotter at the approach of my birthday. It was strange though, how no one else flinched at my touch. It was almost as if me and Talon were forbidden.

I yawned and stretched, the action causing Talon to wake up too. I looked at the clock, it read nine o'clock. A much more reasonable time to be waking up, I thought to myself.

"Ugh, why are we up so early?" Talon grumbled.

"I hate wasting away half the morning in bed." I shrugged.

"You're queer." He said, flipping around and burying his face in the pillow.

"You're lazy."

"You're crazy."

I laughed at him for that. "Yeah? We'll you're in my house and you follow my rules. What do you have to say to that?"

"I say go make yourself useful and make me some breakfast woman." He said peeking his head out from under the pillow.

"Yeah right. That's some pretty wishful think you have there." I say laughing as I leave the room.

I head down the stairs to the kitchen. The house is quiet, my parents leave at 8 every morning before I leave on the days that they aren't on business trips. When I get to the kitchen I look through all the cupboards trying to find something good to eat. No cereal, no pancakes, no bagels. Life sucks.

Looking through the last cupboard, I spot a lone pack of oatmeal sitting in the back. It's probably expired, but what the heck that stuff doesn't go bad. It's way in the back and I struggled trying to reach it. After groping around for a few minutes I finally catch a hold of it and pull it down, catching the corner of something else with it. A load of stuff from the cupboard comes crashing down, the sound amplified in the empty kitchen. I curse under my breath.

Next thing I know, Talon is in the kitchen, wings out and all.

"Seriously?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

He scratched the back of his head. "Sorry, it's kind of like an instinct now." He said grinning sheepishly.

"Right well, um, put those away, and hit the switch on the kettle for me." I said watching him. I wanted to know how he got rid of his wings. I'd seen them come out before, they just kind of exploded out of your back. As I watched, he folded them to his back, arching it as they seemingly dissolved into him. I had one word for that; freaky.
