I leaned over her and put my head to her chest. I could hear her heart beating, but it was slowing down. I picked her up and dragged her out of the car, at some point in time a small fire had started. Great, just what I needed.

Just as I pulled her out, the car burst into flames. The intensity of the heat weakened me and I only managed to lug her 10 feet before I collapsed on her. Rolling off, I looked up to see Sam looming over us, his face reflecting the light of the flames.

"Is she okay?" Sam asked, panic in his voice.

"No." I croaked, and then I blanked out.

I woke up with a start a second later, my face burning. "Ow." I hissed.

"I would say I'm sorry but I'm not," Sam said impatiently, "Hurry up and get her conscious again! I don't know anything about first aid!"

My eyes widened. I scrambled back over to her, and put my head on her chest again. She still wasn't breathing! But why? What if her lungs collapsed? What if she broke a rib and punctured it? What if-

Stop with the what ifs and do something! I mentally slapped myself. I did the only thing I could think to do.

I pinched her nose, took a deep breath, and put my lips on hers. They were hot, literally, though surprisingly they didn't burn me like what happened when I grabbed her wrist. I wasn't sure how her body would react to having such cold hair being forced into it, but I had to try.

The iciness of my breath seemed to shock her lungs into working again, and she choked and spluttered as I pulled back from her. With her lungs working again, her heart pumping blood powerfully through her veins again, I watched as she began to heal. It looked as though she was going to be perfectly fine. I let out a sigh of relief. Except... one of her arms was bent unnaturally.

We could fix that, but she wasn't going to like it.

"Do you have to?" I whined.

When I had crashed into what I had later found out was actually Sam, and not the ground, I had broken my arm. After being in a horrible car crash- which I was lucky I was unconscious for- and Talon pulling me, he had set me in a position that made my arm heal backwards. Stupid idiot.

It didn't hurt, but it is a major inconvenience when your arm bends the wrong way.

"Do you want to be able to use your arm properly again?"

"Well, yes, but-" I started.

"Would you rather go to the hospital and explain to them how your arm managed to completely heal backwards like that?" Talon said gesturing towards my arm.
