Hey all, as you all have noticed, I am a horrible person for updating regularly, my apologies! But January has been an incredibly busy month for me, between last minute tests, mid term exams (and a math final in advanced math!), a swim competition and recently started piano lessons, I've had zero time to myself! Hope you all can forgive me, and hope you enjoy this chapter as well as the others! I think that's all for now :)

We followed the map back into the foyer, where we were instructed to take a left. Just through a short, wide hall was a very large, modern kitchen. There was a table off to one side, and the other contained a fridge, stove, a large amount of counter space with a breakfast bar, as well as all your other basic kitchen appliances. There was also a set of western style doors which hinted at what I guessed to be a chef's kitchen.
There was yet another hall branching off from the kitchen though, and a quick walk down it brought us to a large set of wooden doors. And of course behind these large wooden doors was the dining hall. With cabinetry and counter space lining one wall, and a waterfall cascading down the far end wall, it left the wall to our right to be made off glass, showcasing a breath taking view of the beach and ocean, this particular expanse being private.
Situated around the huge, food covered, wooden dining table, were the scientists as well as all of our friends, who sat staring expectantly. I flushed when Belle raised an eyebrow at me questioningly.
"What took you guys so long?" Sam asked, blatantly breaking the settled silence.
"Apparently Phoenix decided she needed to examine every detail of the place along the way here." Talon laughed. I scowled and smacked him playfully on the arm.
"Did not."
"Did too."
"Did n-"
"Now, now. How about we settle down now and have a bite to eat before we get chatting." The blond chided. Talon and I did as we were told and pulled up a chair. Even with all of us sat down there were still a few empty chairs. "How about we start with introductions." She continued. "My name is Dr. Blake, but you can call me Serena."
The brunette spoke up next, her voice timid yet wise. "I'm Dr. Parker. Call me Julie."
"Dr. Jefferies, but I'm also known as Steve." Spiky hair piped up, grinning enthusiastically.
"Blake." Mumbled the guy with glasses. He gave no indication of whether that was his first name or his surname, so I was slightly confused.
"And I'm Dr. O'Brien, but I'd like for you to refer to me as Dave. Should you need anything throughout your stay here, feel free to ask anyone of us. If you can't find either of us for any reason, ask one of the scattered maids, and they can point you in the right direction. First thing's first, I'd like to lay out a few ground rules. One, no using your powers for any reason while unsupervised." He paused, glancing in our direction, his eyes resting on Talon's face. He must know that it was one of us that caused that mark... oops?
"Two," he continued, "you will be expected to continue on with your studies to remain educated by attending the mini educational sessions we have arranged. We have created schedules for you all, similar to those of your previous high school. Three, no leaving the residence to mingle with other island dwellers without authorization. Four, you are expected to train and develop your skills two hours a day, five days a week. And five, you are responsible for keeping your rooms clean."
There were a few groans about having to continue learning and keeping our rooms tidy, but for the most part living here sounded exciting. It really was like a highly prestigious boarding school. Sky High Academy, I giggled to myself as I thought the name. This is the place where I would rise from my ashes.
