can't live without you - taehyung

(a/n: going to be a long one:))

I had every right to be mad.

The articles explained it all. At least I believed them. Taehyung and another girl were on the front cover of the magazine I just read. I know I shouldn't believe everything I see but the way he looked at her in the magazine was enough to make me burst. 

I trust Taehyung and should forgive him and listen to his side of the story because tabloids target idols like him to make money. But no matter what I did, the image of them together always came up in my mind. 

After having enough of it, I rang up Taehyung and tried to make him speak to me about what exactly was going on between them.

"Taehyung?"

"Yes, (y/n)? Why do you sound so upset?"

"It's nothing, really."

"Is it another article?" Did he already see it? "Answer me."

"Yes."

"Don't worry about that."

"Just tell me, is it true?"

"Why do I have to keep explaining myself to you?" He seemed upset and angry. "You never believe me and assume those things are real."

I can't believe he has the heart to say that to me.

"Taehyung."

"You know what, I'm busy. Let's talk later when you stop assuming I cheated."

Then he hung up. This always happened. Every time I see an article, I'd call him, he wouldn't want to explain, and then he'd hang up.

Tears leaked through my eyes as he ended the phone call. It wasn't unlikely of him to be acting this way when it came to the articles. I sat teary-eyed, knees to my chest, staring at the magazine on the table.

My phone rang from a text notification and I looked at it, thinking it was Taehyung apologizing.

It wasn't.

To: user

Is everything okay? Taehyung-hyung just threw his phone across the room after he ended the call with you.

From: Jungkook

To: Jungkook

I saw another article.

Uh oh. Not again. If that's so then why is Taehyung-hyung so angry.

From: Jungkook

To: Jungkook

He didn't want to explain and told me to talk to him again when I stop assuming.

Oh. All of us think it's his fault.

From: Jungkook

The boys gathered around Taehyung to ask him what was wrong. They had just seen him get off the phone with you and throw his phone across the room. Immediately, Jungkook got on his phone and began texting you. He asked what was wrong with Taehyung, hearing only his words and not yours. You tell him what had just recently happened. 

Jungkook informs everyone that you had seen an article regarding another girl and Taehyung. Annoyed of the topic, Taehyung attempted to leave the room but was bombarded with questions and comments from the other boys.

"Taehyung, you know the tabloids would start a rumor such as this." Namjoon said to him. "Why would you not explain yourself to (y/n)."

Taehyung ignored him.

"Just call her, tell her you're sorry, and then make up." said Jimin. "This always happens."

"Yeah, it only happens because she assumes I cheat on her." replied Taehyung. "(y/n) doesn't trust me."

"She does but the tabloids have written one too many articles about you and that girl." stated Jungkook.

Taehyung rolled his eyes. "It's not that I don't love her. I do. It's just that I don't see any reasons to explain myself constantly when she knows that she is the only one for me."

"Taehyung, just call her and tell her it's all your fault." said Yoongi, bluntly.

"Just know that is isn't only his fault. It's also (y/n)'s," added Hoseok, "but it's mostly your's, Taehyung."

Taehyung left the room.

Several days had passed and I haven't spoken to Taehyung since the night of our little fight. I miss him so much. I don't even believe that he is completely at fault. I just wanted to hear his explanation. His side of the story.

Today was the day of his performance so I showed up to the area. I arrived and Hoseok led me to their dressing room. Taehyung was getting his makeup applied on. I sit in the stool beside him and watch him get pampered.

"(y/n)."

"Huh?"

"Are you okay?"

"Sure."

"You can't obviously be mad at me still."

"I have every right to be mad."

"We can't fight here. It isn't my fault you always think I'm cheating on you." 

I was shocked he was still like this.

"We'll talk after my performance."

During their performance, Taehyung was chosen to do a performance with the girl from the magazine. I knew he had practiced really hard for it so I tried so hard not to get jealous. At the part where he had to hold her waist and she had to slowly lift her leg up his, my heart dropped.

This whole night had been a mess. I chose to exit and leave the performance than to see it and talk with him after. 

Upon my arrival home, I flopped on the bed and cried my heart out. There was something there. Something about the way he looked at her on stage.

(Taehyung)

After my performance, I was hot and sweaty. Our dance choreography is really intense so I caught my breath after we left the stage. I looked around for (y/n) but I couldn't find her. None of the members saw her either.

"Jimin," I start, "where's (y/n)?"

"I don't know. Didn't she watch you perform?" he replied.

I'll ask Hoseok instead. 

"Hoseok-hyung, have you seen (y/n)?"

"The last time I saw her was when you two were talking in the dressing room." He slapped my head. "You punk, be careful not to be so harsh to her."

The dressing room. I admit I was being a bit harsh, but it was true. I see Jin-hyung approach me as I wander around. 

"Are you looking for (y/n)?" I nod and continue before he stops me. "Dude, she left in the middle of your performance."

I was shocked. "Why?"

"What do you mean why? Everyone saw the way you looked at that girl while you were dancing with her."

"Aish, really. She has to stop thinking that way."

"Taehyung, just apologize. If you had explained yourself, this wouldn't be happening."

Although I knew he was right, I couldn't admit it to myself.
