I was told we'd have a new classmates in school today. There were seven of them. Each of them were told to tell everyone their names by the instructor.
"I'm Jungkook." said a boy, winking. Some girls behind me giggled.
"I'm Hoseok." another said. "but call me J-Hope because I'm your hope."
"Suga." one followed on. He seemed the toughest. He literally looks like he doesn't give a shit about anything.
"Namjoon." a tall guy said. He looked cool. Not pretty boy cool, but I'll break your face if you touch me cool.
"My name is Jimin." He smiled and ran his fingers through his hair, making girls swoon. "Nice to meet you all."
"I'm Taehyung." said the next one in line. He brought his hand up to his face but his two fingers were up. "Call me V."
The last boy in line looked so familiar. He was very tall and had broad shoulders. Quite handsome.
"Jin." My eyes widen and my breath hitched in my chest.
Jin.
The instructor nods. "Okay, boys, take a seat anywhere empty."
Jin takes the seat beside me. I hold my breath.
"Hey, are you Jin in as the Kim Seokjin, Jin?" the boy from behind me asked.
Jin just shrugged and said, "Sure."
"I remember you." said one of the girls who was swooning. He ignored her.
I chuckle silently but I was sure he noticed because then his head turned in my direction.
I haven't seen him in a while. Ever since middle school. I wonder how he is doing now. Is he doing well?
During the beginning of middle school, I was his friend because he was too shy to make friends with anyone. I was chosen to be his partner for a project. Jin always came to my house after school to work on it.
We'd laugh and talk to each other about everything. I miss it.
My friends thought he was weird and annoying. I agreed with them and distanced myself away from him after the project was complete. What could I say? Fitting in at that age was really hard.
I just wanted to have friends.
Even though I started to develop feelings for him, I pushed them away.
In the middle of middle school, Jin started doing things on his own. Rolling through the crowds by himself. He missed school a few times, but then one day, he stopped coming to school at all.
No one has seen him since then. No one.
I'd always wondered what happened to him.
Now in highschool, things as little as forgetting to water my plant always found it's way to make me regret my decisions.
Since he's here now and back at school, I don't quite understand his history.
Does he remember me? Why did he just stop coming to school all of a sudden? Why is he here now? How does he look like an angel but still look so tough? And how could he still make my heart thump?
After that period, I walked to my locker, books in my hand. Jin was walking along with his crew and I could feel his warm arm brush against mine as we passed each other in the halls.
There was no one except for me when I arrived in the room. As I sat in my seat, in come Jin and he takes a seat in front of me. Both of us were early. I gasp quietly and he turned around to face me.
"I remember you." he said in a soothing voice. I nodded. His fingers brush against my jawline and cheek. I gulped. He chuckled. "Just kidding." Then he turned around.
What was up with this boy? Be still, heart.
