can't live without you(three) - taehyung

(Taehyung)

I awoke in a bright room. On a hospital bed. (y/n) was laying by my bedside. All of my friends were asleep in the chairs. I flinched my arm. Her grasp was tight around it. She looked up at me. I could tell she was crying because her eyes are red and puffy. 

"Taehyung," she said, brightness in her voice. "You're awake."

"Yeah, I am" My eyes wander all around the room. "Why am I here?"

(y/n) looked down. "You collapsed. I checked your heart and it wasn't beating." Her eyes met with mine again. "So we brought you here."

I began to remember the past months. I was so lonely. So lonely without (y/n). I couldn't help but feel guilty at myself. I didn't deserve this. I didn't deserve to be alive with her caring for me. I'm a horrible person.

"(y/n)." I began. "Please don't ever leave me again. I was a mess. A living zombie. Without you, I'm nothing." 

My eyes began to get wet. As for her, tears were already forming in her eyes. She looked heartbreaking when she cried. I wanted to just pull her close and hug her tightly. And never let go.

"Never again." she whispered, caressing my hand in hers. "I'll never leave you. Now we know what could possibly hurt us the most. We'll take better care of each other."

A doctor rushed in through the door and was so surprised when he saw me awake. He told me when I was admitted to the hospital, my heart wasn't beating. Everyone thought I had died from a heartbreak.

I guess it really was true. I couldn't live without her.

There are millions of different ways to die. I almost died. My heart stopped completely. No wonder it hurt so much. A heartbreak can end lives in many ways. That is why we should all be very careful when it comes to love. 

It was a miracle my heart began beating as soon as she told me she loved me. Of course, I couldn't hear it. But overall, I'm thankful to have another chance to start our love story over again. The stupid mistakes we made in the past have always came around to hurt us in the end. Now, I vow to keep my words and take care of her. I'll never let her shed another tear of sadness. For I will be her savior. I'll never break her heart. 

I was given an extra life to do what I should've done earlier. Be her man, Taehyung.
