"(y/n)!" Hoseok shouted from the living room, rubbing his face with his hands, slowly losing his patience. "We're going to be late for Jungkook's pool party if you don't decide on an outfit!"
Jungkook was the kind of boy to throw a pool party every weekend during summer. So that was where all the boys met up. You were the only girl who ever really attended until Jin and Taehyung glowed up and got girls.
Jisoo was extremely nice and very caring, just like her boyfriend, Jin. The girl Jimin, Taehyung's girlfriend, who the boy Jimin gets along with extremely well, is very daring but gorgeous and hilarious. You three just seemed to click somehow. Aside from basically having the same personality, you all had one person you despised. Yoongi's girlfriend.
"Shut up, Hoseok! I'll be down in a bit." You shouted back, grabbing the swimsuits you had spread out on your bed. You frustratingly played a quick game of 'eenie meenie meinie mo' in your head while pointing to each of the outfits. Then you frustratingly sighed.
"I'll just bring all of them and then choose there." You mumbled, snatching up the swimsuits into your hand and bunching them into your beach bag.
You had packed everything you needed for Jungkook's pool party into your bag. Sunscreen and a towel. You were planning to sport a large tee and jean short with sandals now and change into your swimsuit later, if you could find one good enough to suit yourself. You were sure you had everything.
There was no need to bring another outfit for after the pool because Jungkook always offers one of his tees to you even if you haven't said anything. He was such a gentleman to you, the other boys tease him for having a crush on you, except for Yoongi. He doesn't really care for anything, at all.
Scurrying down the stairs, bag in hand, you made your way to your impatient brother who had passed the minutes by playing games on his phone. When you were in his presence, he looked up from his phone and glared.
"That was twenty minutes ago when I told you to hurry up." Hoseok stood and walked to the front door, unhooking his keys from the hook. He opened the door and fakingly smiled. "We're ten minutes late, (y/n)."
You rolled your eyes and continued through the door before him, snatching the sunglasses on the counter and placing them over your head.
"Hey! Those are mine!" He shouted after you. Hoseok locked the door and hurried after. "And if you keep rolling your eyes at me, I'll tell Jungkook you like him back."
Everyone assumed you liked Jungkook because he had many tees and offered them to you just like that, so you took them. He had never asked for them back and so you lived in them. They were surprisingly very comfy. But only Hoseok knew you didn't really see him in that way, aside from Jisoo and the girl Jimin. Yoongi also knew but you didn't know that.
The drive to Jungkook's house wasn't far. A couple blocks down was where it sat but Hoseok always felt the need to drive. He had enjoyed racing as a child. So he drove while the two of you jammed to music on the radio.
The sun shined on your hair, making it seem lighter than usual, it's strong rays hitting your skin. The windows were open but you coudn't just close them and not feel hot.
"Hoseok!" You complained, falling back into your seat. "Why is it so hot?"
"Cause I'm the sun, you idiot." You snarled at him. He could be so cocky sometimes. "And your right next to me."
"Sometimes, I wish I could smack the arrogantness out of you."
Hoseok pulled up in front of Jungkook's house and dialed him to welcome your coming. You hopped out of the car and a wild Jungkook blasted through the backyard fence.
