Dark gray clouds replaced the once puffy clouds in the sky as you walk down the park's trail towards your boyfriend's house. The smile on your face grew wider as you neared the building, blush quickly spreading to your cheeks while the special present inside the small box rattled around.
You flinched at the loud rumble of thunder, lightning flashed across the sky in bright purple tones. You whimpered as you quickly picked up your pace towards Jimin's house.
Light water droplets touched the top of your head, asking with your exposed arms and legs. You didn't think that it would rain with the sun shining so bright earlier, but the weather has proved you wrong once again. The light rainfall soon fell harder and faster, drenching you completely.
You sighed in relief once you reached Jimin's front door. His present case was dripping with water and you prayed the actual thing inside wasn't messed up.
While knocking on the door, you shivered from the sudden weather. It's still raining hard and the thunder grew louder each minute. Still, the smile on your face stayed put.
The door opened, a girl stepping out beside it, confusing you. She looked like a decent girl but not once have you seen this woman, especially at Jimin's place.
Your eyes scan down her overly exposed body in what seemed to be a bra and underwear, poorly covered by her white robe. A sharp pain in your chest hit you like a bag of stones when you came into realization.
Jimin was half naked on the couch, still partly asleep.
"Who is it?" He mumbled from his place, eyes still shut.
"Park Jimin..." You mutter from the door, still dripping wet from the huge rainfall. Immediately, Jimin rose and stared at your shivering and dripping state with wide eyes.
"How could you?"
You gripped the container in your hands tightly and threw his present to him while tears escape your eyes. The girl still at the door watched your actions, with a puzzled face. You felt sorry for her, she didn't know you two were already together.
He must've had her fooled, too.
It hurt when the box hit his chest. Jimin glanced at his present before looking back to you at the door.
But you were nowhere in sight.
He had not gotten a chance to explain himself and you were already gone. But what was there to explain? The situation was already proven and he knew he had fucked up.
Soon Ae furrowed her brows in confusion and dropped to the floor, picking up her clothes before raising up. From what she could tell, Park Jimin was a liar.
"It seems I wasn't the only woman in your life like you had promised." She spoke in the saddest tone Jimin had ever heard. Jimin lowered his head, staring at his birthday present from you.
"Soon Ae, I'm—"
"I know what you're going to say and it's okay. If you love her more, win her back, even if you don't deserve someone like her."
By the time she had finished speaking, Soon Ae was out the door, leaving Jimin behind and alone.
No one should be alone on their birthday, but Jimin had just lost two very important girls to him, you and Soon Ae.
The feeling of loneliness surrounded Jimin as he unwrapped your box. He wanted to cry. He wanted the tears to spill out of his eyes the same as yours and Soon Ae's had, but they didn't. All he could do was sit and stare at the promise ring on his finger.
'Forever and Always'
He turned the ring around on his finger.
'Soon Ae and Jimin'
Was his heart really that cold?
Jimin opened the the lid off of the box and the jolt of pain in his chest pounded. He carefully took out the ring and studied the engravings.
'Always and Forever'
'Y/N and Jimin'
That's when Jimin officially broke down and tears overflowed his eyes.
Yes, he really was that heartless.
