You stare at your reflection through the shining mirror as your bestfriend applied your makeup on.

Your hair was up in a gorgeous bun, along with your great grandmother's precious diamond hair clip. It's been a family heirloom for as long as you could remember. She passed it down to your grandmother, who passed it down to your mom, who passed it down to you so you can pass it down to your future daughter.

But you didn't want a future daughter. Not with that guy out there, at least. Jimin was your best friend. You didn't want to marry him. You didn't agree to marry him. Your parents just promised you to him a long time ago while you two were babies and now it's really happening.

You don't see a future with him. Jimin as your husband? It didn't come to mind.

Today was your wedding day. As your bestfriend was applying your makeup, a tear rolled down your cheek. Wiping it away with her thumb, your bestfriend noticed your unhappiness.

"(y/n), what's wrong?" She paused. "Why are you crying? You shouldn't be crying."

She's right. The bride should not be crying on her wedding day. It would cause all sorts of problems including, making your eyes puffy and ruining your makeup. But you had an excuse.

"Hoseok." Your bestfriend does nothing by squeeze you into a hug and continues your makeup.

You grimace at the thought of your ex boyfriend who you love very much. He also loves you much more than anything, but due to some stupid promise made more than two decades ago, you two couldn't be together.

"Don't worry about it, (y/n). You'll start falling for Jimin soon. He's a good guy." She assures.

"That's the reason why. He's a really good guy." There goes another tear. "I don't want him to marry someone like me who can't love him back."

Your makeup was completed. You stared at your reflection, hating yourself for not loving Jimin but Hoseok.

Your dream last night. You wished so hard that it would come true, but it didn't.

"Help me, (y/n)!" Hoseok yelled softly, tightly gripping your hand as he carefully climbed his way to you. You pulled him in with all your strength and was relieved when all of him was inside.

You couldn't believe it was really him. He was actually there in front of you. Oh how you missed Hoseok. He cups your face with both of his hands and pressed his lips into yours. Your heart ached for him so much that you gripped his shirt and pulled him closer when he pulled back.

You finally let him go and wrap both of your arms around his torso. He hugs you back while you rest your head on his chest, sobbing.

"I missed you so much, (y/n)." Hoseok confesses.

"I've missed you."

"Do you still love me as much as I love you?" He asks and you nod your head, clutching to him. "Then let's run away. Together."

Before you could answer, you heard a noise. You were reluctant to the knocking on the door. Both of your gazes turn towards the door.

"(y/n), are you ready, honey? Everyone is waiting for you, especially Jimin." Your mother's voice was audible through the door.

"In a bit." You lie straight through your teeth.

Hoseok exited through the window and climbed down. You grasp his hand as he helps guide you down the side of the church. You couldn't believe you were actually going to get your happily ever after.

Once you both reach the ground safely, Hoseok takes your hand in his and you both run through the nearby woods where Jungkook's black Jeep picked you two up and took off.

All of you guys had no clue where to go now but all that mattered was that you were with Hoseok. And you were happy.

"(y/n)." Your bestfriend had tried to reach your attention for what seems like the twelfth time.

You bust out of last night's dream. "Yes?"

"I asked you if you were ready for the dress." She pointed in the direction of the closet while you sat staring through the church window.

You could see the ground and the nearby woods. The woods where you and Hoseok ran through to be happy.

"Sure." The small fib leaves your lips while your friends reaches into the closet to find the dress.

The wedding dress you would be wearing was a dress you deeply loved because it was beautiful and you loved everything about it. Except for one thing. You imagined marrying Hoseok in it.

You slide on the dress with ease. Your bestfriend helped zipped up the side as you could not reach it without torturing your body. You look at the dress through the mirror.

"(y/n), you have such great taste and body. Jimin would absolutely love you in this dress." Your bestfriend's compliment had you thinking another thought. Oh yeah? Well, Hoseok would, too. But instead you just murmured a soft thank you.

You sat in front of the vanity, lost in your thoughts. You just wanted Hoseok right now. You wanted to run away with him.

A loud knock on the door caused your hopes to soar high. Hoseok?

Nope. It was one of your bridesmaid with a letter addressed to you from an old friend.

Your bestfriend took the letter from the girl and read the name out loud. "Hoseok?" She looks at you before handing you the envelope. "Maybe your dreams would come true."

Excited, you admire his name, which was inked in his beautiful handwriting.  You opened the card and a note falls out. You unfolded the note and continued to read.

(y/n),

You're getting married today. I always knew this day would come. I'm sorry. But just remember that I love you very much. I will always love you no matter what. Even if you choose to marry another man instead of me, I'll still love you.

Love, Hoseok

P.S. Now, open the door and come out so we can get married!

The little tears that have rolled down your cheeks had stopped and you were confused by his last statement. What did he mean?

Your bestfriend opened the door to reveal a Hoseok, who's smile was brighter than sunshine. He was dressed in a suit and was cleaned up very nice. He looked professional. He looked good. He looked like a groom.

Next to him was Jimin, who was smiling at you. You didn't know what to say to either of them.

"You ready to get married?" Hoseok asked.

"What?" Your mind was still taking in the turn of events.

"Jimin did this." Hoseok revealed.

You pointed a finger at Jimin. "You?"

"Yes, (y/n). Anything to keep you happy, even if it means me getting over this one-sided love."

Hoseok extended his hand out and you place your hand in his. Then you step out of the room and walked out with Hoseok while everyone followed behind.

Maybe dreams do come true. Not exactly the same way, but the same resolution.
