Chapter 17: Nurse Deidara; Let the rain Pour

"_______!" shouted Sasuke, his hand still out as the elctricity started to die away. You were slumped over at the stump of the tree, blood trickling off your forehead and the corner of your mouth. You were clearly unconcious and Itachi could understand with that kind of power that Sasuke had hit you.

'Why the hell did she do that?' Itachi growled to himself in his head. Now it his turn for his feet to move by themselves. He rushed towards your body so he could take you away from here when your body was replaced with his younger brother. Sasuke stood in front of you, glaring at his big brother.

Itachi stopped, staring down at Sasuke dangerously.

"Step aside...now," Itachi demanded. His voice sounded threatening but his facial expression didn't change. Sasuke just glared harder and got into a fighting stance.

"You will not take her away," hissed Sasuke, that same revenge gleaming in his sharingan eyes. Itachi glared down at him. He didn't have time for this. You clearly needed medical attention, and his foolish little brother was getting in his way.

While Sasuke was distracted, Itachi quickly created a shadow clone, making it take his spot in front of Sasuke and so the real him could go behind his brother and pick you up bridle style gently. Your head and arms were limp so they hung off of Itachi's arms.

Before he could fully look down at you he quickly dodged kunais being thrown at him from all direction. His sharingan eyes quickly saw that there were more people here now.

"Get back here Itachi!" Sasuke shouted. Itachi looked forward and saw Naruto, Sasuke, and the one girl that Naruto likes. Itachi quickly gathered his chakra, getting ready to teleport over where Kisame was staying.

"Sasuke...don't try to get her back," said Itachi loud enough for Sasuke to hear him, "She's mine..."

Sasuke's glare was deadly. Itachi saw him quickly form the hand signs for Fire Style: Fire Ball jutsu before Itachi quickly teleported away. Sasuke stared at the spot where Itachi stood while holding you.

"Sasuke! What happened?" cried Sakura, coming up and putting a hand on his shoulder. Sasuke was silent, just staring down at his hands. He had hurt you...badly.

Your back and head throbbed painfully, making you groan softly. You could hear soft voices, but they weren't registering in your head. You just listened to them while the fog in your mind slowly started to disappear.

"What happened to her, un?"

"...It was my younger brother..."

What happened to who? Was someone hurt?

"He must have hit her hard! Yeah"

"....yeah...."

Slowly your memories of what had happened came back into your mind. Sasuke and Itachi. You stepping in to block the attack on Itachi. Why did you do that? You don't even remember what told you to move at all.

You finally found some energy to open your eyes, but just barely. Your eyesight was fuzzy and you were a bit disoriented. You looked straight up ahead of you. You could tell you were lying down flat on your back. Above you, you saw a shadowed figure, but you couldn't tell who it was.

"Hey, she's starting to wake up, un!" said the figure above you. You saw another shadowed figure appear next to the first one and an even taller one appear a little more behind the first one as well. You groaned softly and stirred, trying to open your eyes a little more so you could see.
