The sun was shining brightly overhead as a crowd of people lined up in front of the Acadamy. The 3rd Hokage was standing in front of the crowd, proudly announcing about the Acadamy and congradulating the new students that were going to be entering. You stood a little bit behind the Hokage, looking out at the new students brightly. They either looked nervous, excited, or like they wanted to go back to sleep. Your quick eyes scanned the rows of kids until you found the black haired, spikey little boy that you wanted to find. He was staring at the ground, and you noticed that he seemed kinda...sad.
You blinked and looked at him carefully. You saw him look over his shoulder at someone way in the back with the family members. You looked to see where he was looking and saw his father. His father had his arms folded over his chest, his eyes closed, and he looked like he wasn't even paying attention.
You frowned slightly, looking back at Sasuke.
'...why does it always seem like his dad doesn't care...?' you wondered to yourself. You heard a lot of clapping and your brain snapped back to reality. The Hokage had ended his speech, and everyone was clapping and cheering. The crowd dispursed, and you walked over to Sasuke. He turned and looked at you, then smiled widely and ran over to you.
"Hey Sasuke, are you ready to start your first day?" you asked with a wink and a smile. Sasuke nodded eagerly. You could tell he was really ready to start working. You laughed and ruffled his hair playfully as his dad and another man walked over towards you two. You gave a polite bow to both of them, and a friendly smile. The man bowed back but Sasuke's dad just nodded his head and turned to the man, making Sasuke look at the man too.
You blinked, rolling your eyes slightly and walked off to go talk to the other students. While talking with the family members and students, you felt a light tap on your shoulder. You turned around and saw the Hokage standing behind you. You bowed deeply and waited for him to speak.
"You better call the students in and give them their classes," he said with a gentle smile.
"Yes sir," you said and bowed again. In a flash you jumped onto a podium. You took a deep breath and whistled loudly. Everyone's heads turned to face you, slightly startled by the loud noise. You smiled, a little bit embarrased.
"Alright everyone, I'm going to need all the students to follow me. I will be taken them to their classrooms," you said in your loud voice. The family members turned to their children or siblings, hugged them, and left while the kids all hurried to you. You smiled and made them stand in a line, noticing Sasuke was near the middle. You made them follow you inside the acadamy. You had a clipboard in your hand, and every time you stopped in front of a classroom, you would call out the people that would be in there.
Sasuke was in the last class that you went to. You watched him go in and sit down. You noticed that he didn't talk to anyone, which made you a little bit worried. You leaned against the doorway for a moment, watching everyone has the class got started. Then you turned and walked back to your little desk, to finish up some paper work.
It was break time, and everyone was relaxing; even you were. You were staring out your window, your chin in your palm while you were looked lazy. Then you noticed something...Sasuke was outside, heading for the targets. You blinked and sat up, walking outside to see what he was doing. You peeked around the corner, watching him throw shuriken at the targets. He was panting heavily, and he seemed determined to hit the center. You couldn't help but smile a little - you admired his perserverence.
You could see that he was getting tired, for he hunched over, putting his hands on his knees. You finally walked over to him, resting a hand on his shoulder. He jumped and turned around, blinking at you. He relaxed when he recognized you.
