"You shouldn't be up."
"Hey, it's only my shoulder that got hurt, I can still walk you know!" you said, glaring at Itachi slightly as you slowly stood up off your bed. He stood in front of you, glaring at you slightly as well. You tried to step forward but he put a hand on your good shoulder to make you stay there.
"Itachi! I'm fine!" you said, with a slight whine in your tone. You wanted to get out of bed. You had been stuck in it for a few days now. You looked up at Itachi with pleading eyes, but he didn't seem unmoved by it.
"Come on! It's not like I'm going out on a mission, I just want to walk around," you continued, biting your bottom lip in anticipation to move your legs again. Itachi looked into your eyes for a little longer, as if deciding to let you go or not.
Finally, he pulled back so you could step by. You hid your grin as you stepped passed him and towards the door. Before you could open it, Itachi put his hand against it so you couldn't open it. You looked at him questionably before he said,
"You will not leave my sight, got it?"
You sighed and nodded, just wanting to get out of this room. Itachi took his hand off the door and you opened it.
It was same, familiar, dark hallway that lead to the flight of stairs. You walked down the hallway, your footsteps as well as Itachi's echoing off the walls. You looked down the stairs, put a hand on the wall, and made your way down. Itachi was always on the same step as you.
You knew he wanted to be near in case you got weak all of a sudden, but you couldn't understand why he was making such a big deal about it. You continued your way downward, taking careful steps each time. Finally, you felt your foot touch the bottom of the staircase. You stood still for a moment, just to make sure your knees weren't about to give out on you. Once you were ok, you walked towards the kitchen, Itachi right behind you.
You were about to turn the corner when suddenly an arm wrapped itself around you from behind and pulled you back. You felt your back press against Itachi's chest. You looked up at him with a questionable look but he just continued to look forward.
"Kakuzu," he said calmly. You blinked and looked forward again. Your eyes fell on an incredibly tall man. You had to move your head up just to see his face. The only thing that really sent shivers down your spine was his eyes. They just screamed evil.
He looked at Itachi, grunted and walked on. Your eyes followed him, your body releasing its tense. You sighed and realized that Itachi still had his arm around his waist.
"Uh, Itachi, thanks for stopping me from running into him, but you can let go of me now," you said, turning your head slightly around so you could look at him. Itachi just looked at you with his sharingan eyes. You couldn't even read what he was probably thinking. Finally, you felt his arm release you and you continued to the kitchen. You took only step into the kitchen when you heard your name being called out,
"Ooi (hey) _______!"
You blinked and looked forward, seeing a flash of blonde hair. You felt two hands land on your shoulders (making sure not to touch the hurt one) and looked into Deidara's eyes.
"Hey Deidara," you said calmly, an emotionless look on your face. Deidara had a very concerned look on his face.
"Are you alright? Kisame told me what happened, hmmm," he said in a very serious tone. You blinked questionably at him. You had forgotten that Kisame also saw you turn into Akako and have that battle with Jaakuna. You just shrugged and nodded.
"Yeah, I'm fine. When did you get here?" you asked. You could feel Itachi's glare at Deidara through your back. Deidara's face lightened up and he gave a slight smirk.
