Chapter 18: Jealousy; Itachi... what are you Doing?

You had your arms wrapped around Deidara's neck as you were being carried on his back. It was the next day and your legs were still wobbly. You whined because you wanted to walk but Deidara didn't listen to you. He just got you on his back and carried you so far. You sighed, resting your chin on his shoulder, looking forward at Itachi and Kisame's backs. You had woken up with Itachi's head leaning against your head, with him sleeping. You still couldn't shake off the way your heart had leapt like that.

You closed your eyes, feeling like sleeping again when Deidara suddenly whispered,

"______...what do you feel about Itachi?" You blinked and looked at him through the corner of your eyes. He still looked forward, but it seemed he was waiting for an answer.

"I don't have feelings for him, if that's what you're asking," you said, getting an annoyed look on your face.

"I really don't believe you, especially with how you two were 'cuddling' last night, yeah," said Deidara, looking at you through the corner of his eye. You huffed and looked away,"How do you two know each other?" Deidara continued. You looked back at him and shrugged before saying,

"We knew each other in the Acadamy. We weren't very good friends until he was 13 and I was 12. But that was before he killed the Uchiha clan..." you said the last sentence very softly, resting your chin back on his shoulder.

"Did you like him back then, un?" asked Deidara.

'What's with him and all the questions?' you thought to yourself while you looked away, blushing furiously. Deidara smirked when he saw this.

"Guess that answers my question, yeah," he said, adjusting you since you were sliding down his back a little. You growled and squeezed your legs around his mid section harder, squishing his stomach. He grunted and glared at you with a slightly playful look on his face.

"Well, I think he still has some feelings for you, yeah," said Deidara, making you raise an eyebrow at him.

"What would make you think that?" you asked, now interested in this conversation.

"He's always watching you and gets jealous of any other person that talks to you, un," said Deidara, shrugging like it was nothing. That had never dawned on you before. You pondered on this.

After a while, you were really bored with being all quiet so you and Deidara were talking a lot. Laughing, playing around, teasing, etc. Of course, Itachi noticed this quickly. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Itachi's Profile ~*~*~*~*~*~

Itachi walked silently in front of you, Deidara, and Tobi. Your legs were still wobbly from the attack so Deidara was now carrying you on his back. Not a smart move. He listened in on your conversation with Deidara, and he found it slightly surprising that it was about him and you.

"______...what do you feel about Itachi?" Deidara had whispered. There was silence and Itachi had waited for you to answer. Finally, he had heard you say,

"I don't have feelings for him, if that's what you're asking."
