So I'm sure a lot of people have a lot of different definitions of what "love" means. Well, I'd like to share what love is to me.
Love is patient. You actively wait for them and you won't give up on them.
love is kind. This is pretty self explanatory.
It does not envy. You celebrate with the person you love, not be jealous of them.
It does not boast. You don't rub your achievements in someone's face when you love them.
It means being humble and also admitting when you're wrong. You can swallow your pride and say 'I'm sorry' and really mean it.
It means being respectful.
It means putting the person before yourself.
It means not being easily angered with them.
It means forgiving them when they wrong you.
It means calling them out when they are doing something wrong or something that bothers you. It means being honest with them, even if the truth makes them mad at you! Hence my previous letters :)
Love is also courageous. It means taking risks.
Love means wanting someone to change their bad habits and their destructive ways instead of wanting them to burn.
Love means protecting.
Love means trusting.
Love means hoping for nothing but the best for someone.
Love means persevering through the difficult times with someone.
So, what is love to you?
