UGGGH I know that it's important to back up your claims with facts and evidence, but it can get exhausting when you don't know which sources are reliable and which ones are not. It's so difficult to find much of any research, statistic, or study that isn't infected with personal bias and some sort of agenda. How do you know what statistics are just showing you one side of the story? How do you know that study you're citing wasn't tampered with to purposefully come up with a result they want? That's where searching for the truth becomes annoying and exhausting. AND what's worse, when you actually do have evidence that's reliable and solid, if someone doesn't want to be open minded, it doesn't matter. That solid, reliable evidence won't change their mind. They'll still say you're stupid. They'll still say you're wrong. And in the time it took me to search for those reliable stats and evidence, I could have read a book, got myself a meal, meditated, and taken a shower! This is why although I believe you should back up your claims, I'm not the one that spends hours researching into a claim. #howannoying #callmestupid #sooverit
